If caught, the people who perpetrate DDoS attacks get prosecuted and go to jail. Bans are the least of their worries.

DDoS attacks are still ongoing. They differ in size, method used, intensity, and duration. We are monitoring the health of our services around the clock and working with partners in adjusting our mitigation methods. With our speedy response times, we are managing to keep the impact to a minimum. However, sudden disconnects, problems with accessing EVE, or other issues with in-game chat and Omega statuses can aggravate at times when the attacks get particularly nasty.

Our teams will continue working behind the scenes on improving the overall situation and we will keep sharing regular updates on the matter here and via EVE_Status Twitter. Thank you for your fortitude and understanding. Stay safe!

This issue was not DDoS related. From our end it looks as though Tranquility was working fine and the issue may have occurred upstream from us with one of our partners. Our team is investigating the cause right now.

Of course for our players the end result is the same regardless of where the fault occurred. Sorry for the disruption!

Hi there, this was not a DDoS related event. Our engineers are looking into the situation but it appears that everything was fine with Tranquility itself and it may have been due to a technical issue with one of our partners. We’re continuing to investigate.

A technical issue may have resulted with disconnections from the server however it should now be possible to reconnect. We are monitoring the situation to make sure further issues do not occur.

We haven’t announced an end date for this campaign as the situation is ongoing and may be for some time. You’re welcome to make multiple contributions in batches.

Although I respect this isn’t your primary motivation, when the campaign does conclude we will add all the separate contributions from individuals and entities together for the purposes of calculating rewards.
