Congratulations Snuffed Out!
Good question and I’m not sure how our methodoloy works (that’s not my dept) but since I’ll be writing a wrap-up dev blog with some cool statistics from the event and I’ll try to find out what I can and share it so people can understand how we arrived at our conclusions.
I’m certain our numbers will differ from those on zKill and all I can say is keep in mind that third party sources (as awesome as they are) shouldn’t be regarded as official.
Aaaaaaaaaand that’s a wrap! Champions of Lowsec officially concluded at downtime today. We’ll let you know the results as soon as we can!
The final winner won’t be known until some days after the event - there’ll be a lot of numbers to crunch and we have to write blogs, prepare assets and so forth for the prizes!
Thanks to all those who showed up - and I do mean ALL. There was over 1,000 people watching the stream for pretty much the entire duration. Absolutely mind blowing.
We’ve got more ideas for content like this to bring us together and provide a pleasant distraction from being stuck indoors all day. Keep an eye out for more news soon!
Check out this news item about our event this Sunday and tune into the ...

Keep it reasonably clean, though!
UPDATE: Mail services should now be operating properly again. Thank you for your bearing with us! If you experience any further issues with verification emails please reach out to our customer support team - [email protected]
We are experiencing some issues with our mail services. Players attempting to create accounts or requiring a verification email in order to log in, change passwords etc. won’t be able to perform those actions until the matter is resolved. We’re working on it now.
Welcome to the spaceship factory! \o/
Sorry - to clarify, the only things that were deployed today were internal and nothing that would affect player experience.
UDPDATE: Tranquility is now back online and accepting connections. Thank you for your patience! Please enjoy your internet spaceships.
We have had to make an unplanned extension to daily downtime while we roll out today’s deployment. Apologies for the inconvenience but we hope to have Tranquility back online and accepting connections soon!
This was an incredibly hard decision for us here at CCP and we realise a lot of people had already made flight and accommodation commitments and will now face financial penalties as a result.
I’m grateful to see so many people saying things like “we understand” and it “was the right decision” despite the hardship it has caused to them personally. Instead of torches and pitchforks there’s been a lot of understanding and deference. Thank you!
And it’s not just a line - our players’ health and safety really is our top priority at live events and given the spectrum of possible outcomes a month from now when Fanfest was due to take place, this really is the least worst of a bunch of really bad potential outcomes.
That said I have a ton of admiration for the people already saying “Screw it, we’re going to Iceland anyway and we’ll make our own Fanfest!” I love that spirit!
We’re really immensely sorry and at CCP we’re all very disappointed that we’ve had to do t...

We’ve published a dev blog with the round-up of the PLEX for GOOD for the Australian Bushfires campaign which concluded last month. The incredibly generous EVE Online community has raised a total of US$107,454 which will be donated to the Australian Red Cross to help those affected by these catastrophic fires.
On behalf of everyone at CCP thank you for your support and generous donations to this PLEX for GOOD!
Hi everyone,
It’s a new day so I’m starting a fresh thread since the last one was getting quite long. It’s here if you want to keep track of prior discussions.
On attempting to log in players may be presented with this message:
Untitled-1553×530 104 KBChat should have been restored for most players however there may still be instances of people unable to use chat properly. Our engineers continue to work with our partners to restore services.
A DDoS attack occurred at 17:20 which has caused disconnections and problems logging in to Tranquility. We are working to try to restore service.
People who have lost ships due to instability caused by the DDoS attacks can visit support.eveonline.com and file a ticket under the category Game Play Support -> Reimbursements -> Lost Ships and our GMs will follw up.
We respectfully ask that you are patient with ship reimbursement requests. Due to the widespread nature of these attacks we often get a high volume of tickets in a short span of time and it can take longer than usual to process all of them.
Simultaneously we receive a high volume of tickets from players who are unable to login or get disconnec...
Read moreWe have experienced further severe attacks at approx 03:55 and 04:25 which caused more disconnects and login issues that also affected the EVE website. We’ve been working with our partners through the night and we apologise for the ongoing instability.
Tranquility recovered from the attacks earlier today and was stable until a recent resumption in DDoS attacks. Everyone at CCP who can do anything about this is on the case. We’ll be keeping you updated as best we can here and over at: https://twitter.com/EVE_status
