Hey,

Just two quick things regarding the patch, which we just applied to Singularity!

A) We discovered yesterday, that wormhole graphics were “slightly” broken on Singularity. Btw, thank you very much for the related bug report! This should be fixed now in this patch, but we are concerned that other graphical effects might be affected due the same reason. Unfortunately this could happen nearly anywhere, so we might miss something in our internal tests. Please help us out and look around on Singularity, if you find any broken graphical effects, and then send bug reports (with screenshots + appropriate description), if you find anything.

B) We have temporarily disabled the Frigate Escape Bay on your battleships on Singularity, to allow for more reliable testing of a patch for next week.

For those, who were unable to login: Unfortunately the DB of Singularity is only updated every few months with new accounts and the last time was in December. I hope that we can update it in time for the next mass test (but there are no plans for either yet).

What exactly is being tested?

Frigate Escape Bay

The Frigate Escape Bay is a special bay capable of holding a single, fitted Frigate that will be added to all Battleships. Should the Battleship be destroyed, instead of being ejected in your capsule and left helpless, you will launch immediately back into combat aboard your Frigate!

In this test we will stress test, that it performs as expected in fleet fight conditions.

Thank you for the report. It seems like shared bookmarks are indeed not shown on Sensor Overlay. We are investigating further.

update: A fix for this is currently being tested and should be included in the next client patch.

Quick update: Singularity has been updated with the latest patch, but unfortunately this broke chat (and some other smaller issues). Due to this we are leaving Singularity in VIP mode for the evening and get this fixed tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for participating in the mass test yesterday! We managed to identify several graphical problems, which are being fixed / investigated further.
I added skill points to 276 characters on Singularity as small reward.

Hi,

Unfortunately we need to delay this mass test to tomorrow, Wednesday, November 20th. The reason for this is that we found several bugs, which would have disrupted the mass test, so we had to fix them first.

Regarding jump tunnel: This is being handled by a different team - CCP Antiquarian might be able to answer this, but I know that they are interested in exactly such feedback.

Regarding bookmarks only minor defect fixes have been made since the test on the 7th and we are currently not planning any bigger changes before release. We personally like the suggestion about a note item (and one of my team members would really love it), but we don’t have time for it right now (and we cannot promise that we’ll find time later, even if we would like to do so).

Singularity has been opened up again now, running the current version from TQ, but with new bookmarks enabled (and we would love it, if you could stress bookmarks a bit more over the weekend). The new jump tunnels will be enabled again after ...

We are planning another mass test on Singularity on Wednesday, November 20th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time)!

What exactly is being tested?
Two subjects are under test - Shareable Bookmarks, and the Travel System.

The Travel System update is a graphical update with gameplay implications. The test participants should pay attention to how the jump effects look and feel, and how readable the game information is (sec, empire) for the tunnels. The team is on the look out for any exceptions or tech issues that haven’t evidenced themselves in house (bug reports from in-client most appreciated). We are also interested in gathering feedback in many areas, a short list is below and may get updated before the test:

  • Smoothness and timing of jump sequences
  • Awareness of difference of tunnel types (e.g. Location, Security Level, Travel Method...

Confirmed, the blueprints tab fails to load, if it contains remote blueprints, which are located in a container. We are working on a fix. Very sorry for the inconveniences.

Quick update: Singularity will remain in VIP-mode overnight (only CCP and bug hunters can login) and will be opened tomorrow, as soon as we confirmed that everything is fine.

Thank you for participating in this test! I am still analyzing the performance numbers, but they seems to be very helpful on the first glance. Also thanks to all the feedback, and several topics of it are already being added to our task list (mostly for how to improve the user experience like the separation between personal and shared folders).

Duality will be closed down again quite soon, while Singularity will stay available.

Personal bookmarks are not shareable, but you can create a shared bookmark folder, where only you and your alts have access.

This is for the context menu, when right-clicking in space? I am aware that the current solution is not yet perfect (the list grows quite long, if you have many folders), and we will for sure improve this aspect (but I am not 100% sure yet on the details).
