The realm goes down and patching begins at 10AM April 16 PDT.

The servers go live at 1PM April 16 PDT.

You can also check the countdown on our {LINK REMOVED}Ultimatum page. Three hours before the end of the countdown, the realm will go down and patching will begin shortly after. When the countdown ends, the servers will be live and you'll be able to join the Ultimatum League!

In Path of Exile: Ultimatum, we've added four new skill and support gems as well as made a variety of changes to existing gems. To help you plan your build for the upcoming launch, we've prepared gem data at level 20 with 20% quality for all new and changed gems.

Alongside every new league, we aim to make balance changes to a wide variety of character systems to improve build and playstyle diversity. This league, we've focused on rebalancing a few specific game mechanics related to new blood-themed skills and Vaal skills, while lowering the power of specific mechanics that were dominating the metagame and were too far above the level of power we aim for.

We've also made changes to the Atlas Passive trees after reviewing their balance and as a result of both Ritual becoming a core mechanic alongside the upcoming league reward changes.

We haven't included the changes to league rewards described in our announcement here.

Balance changes related to the new Life-costing skills Low life, Low Mana and Low Energy Shield now all count as being on 50% or below. This new threshold is both a bit more obvious at a glance, and is large enough a value that a player could survive for a long time on Low Life with the help of the new ... Read more

In the Ultimatum League, you'll have the option to complete 40 new challenges and earn exclusive microtransaction rewards. At 12, 24 and 36 challenges, you'll earn the Ultimatum Helmet, Ultimatum Pet and the Ultimatum Portal respectively. Completing challenges also grants you pieces of the Ultimatum Totem Pole Hideout decoration. Check them out below!

The Ritual League ends on PC on Monday April 12th at 2PM PDT, so this is your last week to complete any unfinished challenges. On consoles, the Ritual League will end when the Ultimatum expansion goes live on April 21st PDT.

In preparation for our 3.14 expansion, we've been working on an engine patch to help improve performance. We're planning to deploy this patch by the end of the working week, likely tomorrow. In the meantime, we've prepared a preview of the patch notes for you, which you can check out below.

Please note that the patch notes below may be changed prior to their deployment.

• Texture Streaming has been further improved. Loading should now be quicker and you should see fewer low-resolution textures.
  
• Added automation to remove old minimap and shader data. This process occurs during the Grinding Gear Games logo video upon launch and may take some time. Old minimap and shader data will typically be cleared once per league in the future.
  
• Updated the patcher to reduce ggpk fragmentation during the patching process. This means that the ggpk file won't grow so large, so quickly, in the future. We're working on a graphical interf...

In the coming weeks, we will be announcing our 3.14 expansion. At that time, we’ll introduce a new set of League Supporter Packs, which means the Heist Supporter Packs will permanently leave the store.

There are two pairs of Heist Supporter Packs available in the store; the Spellblade Supporter Pack and the Eagle Supporter Pack. Each of the two pairs is designed in its own style with different contents, so you can choose whichever you prefer; or if you can’t decide, you can get both! If you have previously purchased a smaller pack, you have the option to upgrade to the larger one. All of the microtransactions included in the Supporter Packs are exclusive and will not be available in the store again.
