It sounds like you have two things going on.

No, the game requires to be purchased separately on the platforms you want to play it on and it is not available via the Microsoft store for the PC.

There are multiple different versions of Battlefield 2042 for Xbox.

- Battlefield™ 2042 Standard Edition Xbox One
- Battlefield™ 2042 Standard Edition Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S bundle
- Battlefield™ 2042 Gold Edition Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S
- Battlefield™ 2042 Ultimate Edition Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S

@recchatto, that is exactly what I mentioned with "small". While the update size might be large, the only change/update that it included was the extra support the latest generation of Intel CPUs.

Why the size of the update is bigger than you would like; this is unfortunately how it works. I also wonder why you mention that it needed to download a whopping 21GB, while the update on my system was only a couple of GB. Did you maybe skip an update in the past?

Do you mean that you would like to have some clarification if you play on Gen5 consoles, turn cross-play off, that you still play with other Gen5 consoles but without PC? And that it does not mean PS5 vs. PS5 for example?

@DecreeNo9, I am sorry, I am unable to see your attached picture.
When you own/have access to the Ultimate Edition of the game, Origin indeed also shows a checkmark next to the Gold Edition of the game on the Extra Content page. There should be a Gold Edition checkmark, as well as for what the Ultimate Edition content gives you.

That is correct. EA Play Pro allows you to have access to the best edition there is. So that would be the Ultimate Edition in this case.

@DecreeNo9, I am sorry, but do you mean that you have played the Beta of Battlefield 2042? Because the game has not launched yet.

But yeah, sometimes it can happen that even if you have purchased a Standalone version of the game, when you have EA Play Pro you still get the option to "Upgrade" the version, because it comes with some extra sometimes. Therefore it is possible that you indeed see other items in your Origin Library. But as long as you actually own the Ultimate Edition and/or have the EA Play Pro membership, you should be good to go.

Although this patch was indeed somewhat big, it was actually a rather 'small' patch that was deployed to support the latest generation of Intel CPUs.

No other changes were included.

@keyshawngoat, while I understand it is frustrating that you now have a sanction on your EA account (at least, that is what you mention), it is your own responsibility to make sure that nobody else other than yourself has access to your own EA account. When this is not the case, and someone else has access to your account (especially if you know said person), it is still your responsibility because it is your account and you should be in control of it.
