I feel like a short term solution to this problem could have/is to increase harvesting rates. That seems like it is a hotfix and would allow people to still farm at relatively the same rate. This would allow you to fix the bug, while working around it at the same time.
The problem there is hotfixes are not platform-specific so we would be elevating farming for all platforms. Don’t worry, this will be a distant memory soon :)

You are correct that we could hotfix that but that kind of HF would go across all platforms so PC would also get elevated mats which would have exacerbated the problem.

Haha we talked about it actually, currently not in the plans.
So when the Estimate is N/A or someting like 2 Hours it's because there are literally no players in my skill level available? Because most of my long time queues always say N/A on the estimated time, others have normal times like about 30 seconds or even erroneous times like 2 hours.
And that happens in most of not all modes, not just rumble.
I'm no expert in that area, but I believe that is correct. You must be a great player.
Do you think it’ll be fixed on PS4 before the celebration cup? Or are we slow farming our way through the tournament.
I have heard that we are going to message on social later today as to when the PS4 update will be ready, but I would be very surprised if it wasn't released by Thursday at the latest.

Sorry, it just means an updated version of the game.
Basically hotfix means you change data (like how much damage a gun does, or how long it takes for the storm to close in), whereas most actual code bugs need to be fixed in code, compiled, and then a new version of the game has to be released to you. That process takes at least a few days in the best of circumstances.
It starts saying 0:01... then goes up to like 0:45... and then stays there for minutes on end. I’ll be 3 minutes into waiting for a match to ready up and it’ll still say the wait time is 0:45
An engineer told me they plan on doing some work to improve the wait time estimator. Apparently it currently uses an average of people of similar skill, so it's REALLY an estimate as opposed to something you can rely on for any given match's wait time.
Dusty, sorry to bother you, but any word on Rumble lobby times fix? I'm still rocking a majority well over 2 minutes and my lobbies have half the regular players.
I'm really trying to be patient, but I'm ready to give up at this point. There is no place left on the game to have fun.
We have been talking about some potential solutions, most likely starting with adding bots for lower end players (which will speed up MM times across the board).
Are weak points getting hot fixed?

When you hit Ready, what do you see for the estimated wait time? Is it in line with the wait times you are experiencing?
I checked the data and it looks like 99% of matches are started in less than 2m, with the majority of those being <30s. The top .1% of players might experience a few minutes of MM time, depending on the time of day.
We'll get the weapons that shouldn't be in there hotfixed off asap, hopefully by this afternoon.
FYI - only data changes can be hotfixed - code bugs like these require a new build.

Also saw this from another thread but have you ever considered adding moving circles to team rumble to stop the use of overbuilding and towering?
It's a good idea, the problem would be that players would have a 50% chance of spawning in the storm when it was moving...
Noice! Can't wait to see how it plays out. Feel like Team Rumble has so much potential as the only team death match style mode so really keen to see it thrive as a different option to battle royal (which I also enjoy but only when I'm playing duos with a friend).
We have some other new stuff coming next season that I think you'll enjoy.
Any chance team rumble could have the grappler back in like how it was in chapter 1?
Generally we don't want rumble to have vaulted items in it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the grappler comes back some day... such a fun item.
Can it maybe be a bit higher? Health only is a good idea but in TR no one wants to carry healing considering there is a slot for Glider Redeploy (no hate)

Just wondering, if you did add join in progress, we would still be able to join a "fresh" game, right? I think a lot of people, myself included, wouldn't really like to join a game that's already halfway over.
It would work more like COD where the first match you join might be join in progress but if you stay on you will be in fresh matches from there.
