@EvilDeadSanta Your issue appears to be unrelated to the OP’s. Firstly, please ensure you’re playing on the ‘Official’ realm using the checkboxes alongside the ‘Play’ button within the launcher, and repair our anti-cheat service using the EasyAntiCheat_Setup executable located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat

Our developers suspect this is an issue with the Steam client itself. Could you please ensure the latest Steam updates are installed and change your ‘Download Region’ to another nearby location, and see if the issue persists?
I’d recommend you lower your ‘Worker Thread’ count within the launcher’s ‘Settings’ menu down to 6. This should sort it out.
Could you please both ensure you’re playing on the ‘Official’ realm, as opposed to the ‘Modded’ realm?
Your realm can be changed using the checkboxes alongside the ‘Play’ button within the launcher.

Our QA department and development are looking in to a recent increase of performance-related complaints, seemingly tied to Shadows. It’s on our ‘critical’ to-do list. Sorry I can’t be of more help right now.
