@Rhizone This is a complicated issue and one of our QA department will need to play with you whilst you capture your network requests (using Wireshark - instructions here).

Would you be willing to have a Fatsharker reach out to you to arrange a time to do this?

Alternatively, as I appreciate this is a lot of hassle, I’m happy to contact Steam and request that they issue you a refu...

I think you may need to reach out to Easy Anti-Cheat directly, in this situation. They’ll be best suited to assist with this. You can reach them at: https://www.easy.ac/en-us/support/game/contact/tech/

It’s likely a Process Monitor Log will be requested. Instructions on how to do this can be seen here: ...

Could you please confirm that everybody is playing on the Official realm, as opposed to the Modded realm? Your realm can be changed using the checkboxes displayed alongside the ‘Play’ button within the launcher.

The KERNELBASE.dll error indicates a corruption in your Windows user profile. Please run the Windows System File Checker: https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/articles/360039450413--PC-How-to-run-the-Windows-System-File-Checker

Alternatively, you may need to create a new Windows user profile.

Sorry about this - we’ll look in to it!

It’s a complicated one unfortunately. Am I right in saying that you can dismiss the steam_appid.txt error, and the Official realm will work as normal?

Comment

I’ve had to escalate this internally in hopes that one of our developers can advise on how to proceed with this.

I hope to have an update for you next week.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Error 0xC0020015 is indeed related to Easy Anti-Cheat. When reinstalling Easy Anti-Cheat, did he also remove the ‘Certificates’ directory prior? If not, I’d recommend doing that:

  1. Remove the ‘Certificates’ directory located here:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\EasyAntiCheat
  2. Then, proceed to repair Easy Anti-Cheat using the EasyAntiCheat_Setup executable located here:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat

He may also want to run a Selective Startup, which will help identify if any of his programs are conflicting with Easy Anti-Cheat:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC
  6. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal

Have you always played with a VPN?

I’ve queried this with our Game Director who has confirmed that 5 Shillings is correct. I can appreciate this seems low however, so we’ll keep it in mind.

@Rhizone Your issue appears to be unrelated to the OP’s Backend Error 1287, is that right?

Could you please create a new post (instead of replying here) and include the errors you’re seeing (in English please) in addition to your most recent console logs:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2\console_logs

Thank you!
