The Ohio is still very much stated as a WIP ship and undergoing balance.

The Colbert recently received nerfs.

We have no interest in developing and releasing OP ships, while ships may be OP/UP during their testing phase, this is why we have a testing phase, so that we can improved their balance and interaction within the game.

I believe these missions will remain in your personal assignments and will not expire / lose no progress.

Please remember, the RB, is a completely OPTIONAL system within the game.

No player will be forced to reset any line if they do no want to.

If the rewards are not of interested to you, if you do not have interest in regrinding lines - you do not have to.

A major concern with the original NTC that offered buffs for regrinding was that it forced players to engage with it in order to keep a level playing field with other players. This new system does not. You will not be at a disadvantage if you decide to not use the system. If the available reward ships are not of interest to you - then no worries. The reward ships, as with all ships in the game, intend to be well balanced upon their release. While yes, a player could push through the RB using FXP/ETC, that does not remove the fact that the system is available to all players, and DOES NOT REQUIRE monetary commitment to receive the rewards.

Heyo.

Please be aware, the staff get tagged in many posts on a daily basis, once in awhile we miss a post when going through them. If you ever feel like we've missed something don't hesitate to DM us and prompt us for a reply if we've heavily missed something. Please be aware also that it is predominantly the NA Community Team who is available to provide replies: currently that is @Kami, @KARMAT1KA or myself. Many of your previously tagged individuals do not reside on the NA forums in an interaction capacity.

Onto the meat and potatoes of your ask:

For majority of your data points: none of this information has been provided for other seasons, and while Season 12 was the first to experience rentals, there is no ground to provide it for this season. While the inclusion of rentals for ranked was a controversial decision, I can confirm from the data sets that the season experienced similar numbers, interaction as previous seasons, and met...

No, all research is undone and those ship upgrades are sold and un-researched.

Comment

Special upgrades and regular upgrades are demounted and placed in the inventory. Researchable ship modules are sold at 50.

The first season will last 3 months.

The benefit of a season is the first line reset will receive a 2x bonus to obtainable research points (up to 20,000 instead of 10,000)

There is no limit on how many lines you can reset within a season.

The marks will stay on the ships for you to knock off at your leisure, it does not have to be completed within the season.

You can reset as many lines as you like at once.

We will continue to develop ships for all other currency types.

As we have in the recent past, if a ship is being retired from being available, we will give you ample notice on this.

(Trying to get to as many questions as possible, please humor me)...

I'm a little curious how you came to this conclusion, nothing within this system has a monetized aspect.

It revolves around giving motivation and purpose to players who have reached content cap to continue experiencing the game, by OFFERING again, not forcing them to enjoy the lines of tech tree ships again, with a valuable reward at the end.

Fem,

Comment

Ships when being sold back have always been returned at half price. Upgrade modules will be sold at half their purchase price too.

The original idea saw outcry about the rewards/benefits that would come it (that is buff to ships). This has been completely removed for the new Research Bureau.

Your research points will remain between seasons and not expire.

Phraseology issue, fixing :)

But yes the 10,000 kick off for the first reset is still there.

How do you know this definitively?

There will definitely be some changes to how the game will be played, but we believe there will be a place for them.

Again, I would encourage you to wait until there is more information released about their game-play etc before racing to hasty, uninformed conclusions.

Fem,

At this stage, to be included and undergo final balance in a special mode on live server.

We have not announced whether eventually they will make it into Randoms, but neither ruled it out.

It is too soon to say on that.

Heyo Captains,

Thanks for the great and constructive discussion so far.

While I can definitely understand the concern coming in from how the CV rework was introduced and worked through, we are hoping that the issues that came with this will not be repeated.

That is why we are introducing submarines initially into ONLY a special mode so there is ample room to balance and tweak them as needed, while protecting Random/Clans/Ranked/Etc from major live balancing (which was a major mistake we admit from the CV Rework).

I would encourage you all to keep an open mind and an open eye on the Dev Blog over the next little while as we bring more details about how this class will fit into the World of Warships.

You may also want to keep an eye on some upcoming streams too!

Since this is an event, it falls outside "Public" - we have checked and confirmed and the event is going ahead on October 26th before her move.
