Hello all,

Patch 24.4 is now live on desktop and mobile. Follow this post for details on known issues being tracked in this patch.

The issues we’re tracking this patch include:

• In Battlegrounds, the Theotar’s Parasol Quest Reward has been temporarily disabled, as it was found to cause crashes in specific situations.
• The Battlegrounds Rewards Track does not open to the latest page to claim rewards. The fix for this issue is coming in the next major patch (24.6).
• [Resolved 9/30] In Constructed, the team is investigating reports that Theotar, the Mad Duke’s effect is causing issues.
• [Resolved 9/27] In Mercenaries, Garona Halforcen is improperly not appearing in Mercenaries Packs. Update: Players who opened Mercenaries Packs during the time that this was bugged have received two Mercenaries Packs as compensation.
• [Resolved 9/29] The team is aware that Mercenaries have lost their +1/+5 Maxed Stats bonuses. Updat...

The following is being posted on behalf of the Mercenaries team:

We know players are eagerly waiting for some way to use their excess coins. We’ve previously shared that we have a two-stage plan for that solution. We are nearly ready for stage one of that plan. In Patch 24.6, we will be introducing a new system that will let you exchange excess coins for a resource you can then trade for Coins for Mercs you haven’t yet Maxed. In stage two of our plan, this system will also tie into challenging end-game content. We’re excited to share more information about each stage of the plan, closer to when it launches.

In the meantime, Patch 24.4 is just around the corner and it includes tons of new Mercs, new Bounties, and more! Check the reveal calendar for upcoming reveals, and we’ll see you in the Fighting Pit.

Patch 24.2.3, a server-side hotfix patch, is currently being rolled out the to the regions. The patch includes updates to Battlegrounds and Arena, as well as a few bug fixes, as follows.

Battlegrounds Updates
General Updates
• Returned Bru’kan, Tavish, Sir Finley, and Master Nguyen to the hero pool.

Armor Tier Updates
• Silas Darkmoon, Tamsin Roame, and The Great Akazamzarak are now Armor Tier 1 (0 Armor).
• Al’Akir, Dancin’ Deryl, Lady Vashj, Lord Barov, and Jandice Barov are now Armor Tier 2 (2-5 Armor).
• Alexstrasza, Dinotamer Brann, and Skycap’n Kragg are now Armor Tier 3 (3-6 Armor).
• Cariel Roame, Kael’thas Sunstrider, Kurtrus Ashfallen, Mr. Bigglesworth, Onyxia, and Zephrys, the Great are now Armor Tier 4 (4-7 Armor).
• Guff Runetotem and Queen Azshara are now Armor Tier 5 (5-8 Armor).
• Galakrond, Infinite Toki, King Mukla, Rat King, and Sindragosa are now Armor Tier 6 (6-9 Armor).

Super-sleuths tracked down the rumors and put together the clues to discover that there was, in fact, another Battlegrounds Quest Reward option! This last, elusive Quest Reward is called Partner in Crime, and the Reward grants you your Hero’s Golden Buddy when completed.

Unlike all the other Battlegrounds Quest Rewards, Partner in Crime is only offered in very specific circumstances. Specifically, ALL heroes in the lobby must have a valid Buddy option (that means no heroes that came after Buddies left, like Sire Denathrius or Queen Azshara), and also nobody can be playing as Sir Finley or Elise Starseeker.
If your lobby fits these criteria, there is then a 1% chance of the lobby rolling Partner in Crime. If you do, it will be offered to everyone in the lobby.

Patch 24.2.1, a server-side hotfix patch, is scheduled for September 2 and includes the following content updates and bug fixes.

Content updates:
• Adjusted the Battlegrounds Leaderboard logic to remove all players with 0 Rating from the Leaderboards and increase the number of games required before appearing on the Leaderboards.
• Lich Baz’hial was moved from Armor Tier 1 to Armor Tier 3.
• Fungalmancer Flurgl was moved from Armor Tier 2 to Armor Tier 1.
• Several Battlegrounds Quests and Quest Rewards have been adjusted.
• The Witness Protection Battlegrounds Quest and Another Hidden Body Quest Reward have been temporarily removed from the Quest pool.
• Adjusted the “Big Friends” and “Live to Win” Duels buckets and removed Sire Denathrius from the “Group Learning” bucket.

Bug fixes:
• Fixed a bug where Ring of Tides would continue to update based on the original owner’s spells after stolen.

Hello all, Patch 24.2 has now launched on desktop and mobile. Follow this post on updates for known issues with the patch. We are currently tracking the following issues:

• The team is aware that some old Adventures cannot be accessed by players who own some, but not all, of the wings to those Adventures. The team has identified the issue and expects a fix in the next major patch.
• The team is aware that the Hearthstone Track XP Boosts are not being represented in Daily and Weekly Quest amounts. The team has confirmed this is a visual-only issue and the Quests are still awarding the correct amount. The team is investigating the solution to this visual bug.
• The team is aware that the Journal notification is unable to be dismissed with this patch. The team is investigating the issue.
• The team is aware that Battlegrounds characters that can have more than one Quest (Denathrius) or Quests and Secrets at the same time (like Akazamzarak) are unable to ...

I appreciate the civility–and the passion for your best class representation!–but let’s try to keep threads on-topic, please. To your underlying point, I have no control over the avatars, but I will ask around and see if there’s anything to be done.

We are currently in the process of deploying an unscheduled 24.0.1 server hotfix patch following yesterday’s scheduled 24.0.1 server hotfix patch. This unscheduled hotfix patch includes a fix to a bug that was introduced with yesterday’s patch as well as two Duels adjustments, as follows:

• Fixed a bug where Moonlit Guidance would not draw the Discovered card when played.
• Adjusted the Brittle Bones Duels treasure offering algorithm.
• Changed the cards in the “Live to Win” Duels card bucket to include more divers...

Hey all, the new lists for Patch 24.0 were just posted here:

The decks awarded to new and returning players have been updated with Patch 24.0! As a reminder, returning players who have been away for 120 or more days will be prompted with a deck grant right after they log in. New players will be granted their starter deck after completing the tutorial, the Starter Quest quest chain, graduating from the New Player Ranks (Ranks 40-1), and then returning to the main menu.

New with Patch 24.0, returning players will be able to claim these returning decks each time they are away for 120 or more days, instead of just once per account!

It’s possible players may not see their chosen deck in their deck lists if they do not have an open deck slot when they choose their free deck. The cards for the deck (aside from Core Set cards) will still be added to their collections, so they can clear a deck slot and use the deck codes below to construct the decks. Core Set cards are free to all players and are earned by leveling your account....

We are currently in the process of rolling out a server-side hotfix with the following updates:

Balance Change:
• Grease Bot is being temporarily removed from the Battlegrounds minion pool.

Bug Fixes and Game Improvements:
• Fixed a bug where “Reveal a minion in each deck” (aka “jousting”) cards could reveal spells instead of minions.
• Fixed a bug preventing the Hats on Hats on Hats achievement from progressing.
• Promoted Deck Swabbie to the Pirate minion type in Duels.
• Temporarily disabled players from rolling Quests based on the new Murder at Castle Nathria mechanics until after the expansion launches. Players who have already rolled those Quests can re-roll them, save them until the expansion launches, or complete them in Duels.

We are currently starting the process of rolling out Patch 23.6.3, a server-side hotfix patch, that includes a couple adjustments and a few bug fixes, as follows:

Battlegrounds Update

Shudderwock is now banned from Beast lobbies.

Arena Update

• Cavern Dreamer has been reverted to a 2 mana 1/3.
  • Note: Because this is a server-only update, Cavern Dreamer will function correctly, but will have visual issues where it will either still appear as a 1 mana 1/4 or will have a temporary-looking red cost change to 2 mana.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a Battlegrounds bug where Leeroy the Reckless’s effect would destroy the minion that popped his Divine Shield instead of the minion that killed him.
• Fixed a Battlegrounds bug where the Mighty Shoal Spellcraft spell would not work correctly with Magnetic.

Hey Slankey, sorry this is happening. Like Cece mentioned, it seems like mostly just older Macs that are having issues, and some players are reporting that switching to low setting helps.

Could we get your system specs to help diagnose it?

Graphics card, DirectX version, specific windows version, processor, and memory would be helpful. Most of it can be obtain from the “About your PC” section or even better using the CPU-Z tool.

Or, if you’re on a Mac:

• Mac OS Version
• Mac Specifications (Ideally a capture of the About This Mac):
  • Memory Ram
  • Device specific model
  • Any other specs you can think of that might be relevant

The engineers are wondering if you’d share your device specifications to help them figure out what’s going on.

The team is aware of this issue and is working on something they believe should help with this issue, too.

The team is currently in the process of rolling out a server-side patch with the following updates:

Game Adjustments

• Added Lord Barov back to the Battlegrounds Hero Pool.
• Removed Goblin Bomb, Naval Mine, Helmet Hermit, and Frozen Mammoth from the Arena Draft Pool. Made several appearance-rate adjustments to impactful Neutral cards and to Demon Hunter, Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, and Shaman classes.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a bug where playing Immolate caused subsequent chain effects (multiple effects on the same trigger, such as Mass Polymorph) to lag.
• Fixed a bug where Shattershamber affected non-minion entities (like Deathrattle weapons).
• Fixed a bug where a Golden Minion received off Mr. Bigglesworth’s Hero Power would not offer a triple reward.
• Fixed a bug preventing the Y’Shaarj Mercenaries Bounty from dropping Y’Shaarj Coins (note: there still remains a visual issue where the Y’Shaarj Co...

When did you last check? This should have been resolved yesterday.

This sounds like a carry-over bug from last patch, not related to the specific new card. If it’s the issue from last patch, just delete the deck entirely and re-build it and that should resolve the issue.
