We’re in the process of rolling out Patch 25.2.1, a server-side hotfix patch with the following updates and bug fixes:

Battlegrounds Updates

• Scabbs Cutterbutter, Tess Greymane, Illidan Stormrage, and Tamsin Roame have been returned to the Hero Pool.
• Murozond has been returned to the Minion Pool.
• Wasteland Assassin and Devourer of Souls have been removed from the Professor Putricide Hero Power pools. Possessive Banshee, Handless Forsaken, and a new minion, Cursed Shadow, are being added to the Hero Power pools.
  • Cursed Shadow is a Tier 5, 7/5 Undead with Stealth.
  • Dev Comment: Cursed Shadow is only being added to the Professor Putricide Hero Power pool, not the general Minion Pool.
• The following heroes have less armor:
  • Galakrond and Infinite Toki have been moved to Armor Tier 1 (0 Armor).
  • Drek’Thar, Greybough, and Heistbaron Togwaggle have been moved to Armor Tier 2 ...

Patch 25.2 is now available, bringing with it the new Battlegrounds Season 3! We’ll be using this post to track issues that pop up during the 25.2 patch period.

The issues we’re tracking this patch include:

• Hearthstone: Magister’s Apprentice had its stats unintentionally swapped. The team is tracking reports of other cards having unintended adjustments as well.
• [Resolved 1/19] Hearthstone: The new Omen Demon Hunter hero skin unintentionally blocks getting an upgraded Hero Power.
• [Resolved 1/19] Battlegrounds: Minions that Baltharak (one of the Mecha-Demons generated by Mecha-Jaraxxus) Magnetizes to lose Reborn when the minion gets tripled.
• [Resolved 1/17] Battlegrounds: The team is tracking a bug causing server de-syncs (resulting in players seeing different life totals and results from combat).
• [Resolved 1/17] Battlegrounds: Sin’dorei Straight Shot’s effect is not removing Taunt like it should, only Reborn.

We’ve recently updated the product description on the Sylvanas Ranger General Legendary Bundle and we wanted to clarify that change.

Some (non-3D) premium Hero Skins are intended to include unique hero power VFX. For the new Legendary (3D) Hero Skins, we wanted the focus to be on the 3D hero model, so the hero portrait has a special animation when you use your hero power, instead. It was brought to our attention that the wording of the Legendary Hero Skin descriptions made it sound like Legendary Hero Skins would have both, so we corrected that wording to make the product description clearer.

This change applies to both the Arthas Menethil Bundle and the Sylvanas Ranger General Legendary Bundle. Customer Service will handle refun...

On the Hearthstone team, we’re always looking for ways that we can surprise and delight our players. That means taking risks, trying new things, and iterating if things don’t go as planned.

It’s safe to say that the reception to Signature cards hasn’t lived up to our hopes. We wanted to take a moment to respond to all the great feedback you’ve been giving us about them and tell you a bit about our plans for them.

First, our goals for Signature cards. We want to celebrate the art, putting it front and center, focusing on appealing, exciting, high-quality, and unique full art. We want them to be special items that you want to collect. And we want them to feel great to get; it should feel like a bonus, pure upside.

Your feedback has been clear: we haven’t hit those goals. We’re taking that feedback to heart and are already planning significant changes for our next round...

We’ve corrected an issue that prevented pre-release weekend Fireside Gatherings from functioning earlier today. Once this patch is deployed to your server, you will be able to create a private Fireside Gathering where you can open your Pre-Purchase March of the Lich King packs and participate in a pre-relea...

The decks awarded to new and returning players have been updated with Patch 25.0! Returning players who have been away for 90 or more days will be eligible for a free deck just for logging in. Returning players will be eligible to claim these returning decks each time they are eligible. New players will be eligible for their free deck after completing the tutorial, the Starter Quest quest chain, graduating from the New Player Ranks (Ranks 40-1), and then returning to the main menu.

Players will get to borrow all these decks for one week following their eligibility, so they can try them all out before making their choice.

It’s possible players may not see their chosen deck in their deck lists if they do not have an open deck slot when they choose their free deck. The cards for the deck (aside from the Core Set cards) will still be added to their Collections. They can clear a deck slot and use the deck codes below to construct the decks. Core Set cards a...

Thanks to those in here spreading the word and apologies to everyone whose plans are getting delayed. Like shared above, this is a known issue that the team is actively working on; they’re trying to get a resolution tonight (Pacific time), but we can’t be sure of that until they confirm the proposed fix works–which probably will be just before the hotfix goes live. The Known Issues post will be updated when the issue is resolved.

Correct, the intended meaning here is that you can’t queue a game with those cards in your deck. If you get them through other means (like Sunwell or Priest/Rogue thief cards), you should be able to play them even if you haven’t unlocked the class yet.

Yeah, when patches ship with known issues it’s from internal testing. The cutoff for patches is a while before they go live, so sometimes bugs are found after the patch is ready to go, or the bug is found earlier but the fix can’t get in in time so they get scheduled to be fixed after launch.

Patch 25.0 is now available on desktop and is coming to mobile devices soon. The patch will includes a new expansion, a new class, a new minion type, dual-type minions and more! We’ll be using this post to track any issues that pop up during the 25.0 patch period.

As a reminder, March of the Lich King and the Death Knight Prologue unlock on December 6. It is not a bug that they are not available on patch day.

Some of you might be familiar with HearthstoneAccess, a wonderful third-party accessibility mod that’s been a great way for blind and low vision players to play Hearthstone. We’ve been in constant communication with GuideDev, its developer, and have implemented measures to make development of the mod easier. We’re big fans of their work!

We’ve also been working on improvements to Hearthstone’s native accessibility, with the aim of complementing the functionality that HearthstoneAccess provided. For example, the combination of Hearthstone’s music, sound effects, character dialog, and tavern ambience (the voice murmurs in the background) can conflict with the audibility of screen-reading software trying to convey the state of the game. The issues we’re tracking this patch include:
• [Resolved] The team is aware that some Amazon users are having issues installing and updating to 24.6, this is currently being investigated.
• [Update, 11/2] A hotfix is being deployed to fix the Reaper’s Toll Battlegrounds Strike issue, in addition to adding general server stability. Reaper’s Toll will become available again once this update has deployed to all platforms.
• [Resolved] One Battlegrounds Minion, Faceless Disciple, has been temporarily disabled due to it causing crashes in the 24.6 update.

That’s not a bug. All “card draw” effects (for example “Casts When Drawn” cards or the Warlock weapon) don’t count a card as being “drawn” when it is burned.
