The decks awarded to new and returning players have been updated with the Festival of Legends! Returning players who have been away for 90 or more days are eligible for a free deck just for logging in. Returning players can claim these returning decks each time they are eligible. New players are eligible for their free deck after completing the tutorial, the Starter Quest chain, graduating from the New Player Ranks (Ranks 40-1), and then returning to the main menu.

Players borrow all these decks for one week following their eligibility, so they can try them out before making their choice. There was a bug with the new/returning player decks period with Patch 26.0 where the decks were not available between the Patch date and the expansion launch date—players who would have been eligible for the loaner deck period during that time will instead start their one week loaner deck period with expansion launch. We apologize for the confusion and any inconvenience.

Patch 26.0.1 is a server-side hotfix patch rolling out today with the following updates:

• [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where Audio Amplifier spent extra mana when played.
• [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where cards like Shadowjeweler Hanar and Sketchy Stranger would only offer two options under certain conditions.

Patch 26.0 is here, and the stage is set for the Festival of Legends to take the spotlight! There’s just one more week before the expansion goes live. Follow this post for more information about known issues we’re tracking this patch.

The issues we’re tracking this patch include:

• [Updated carry-over issue]: We are aware that sound from other apps can’t be played while Hearthstone is being played on some devices. This was an intentional change that was made to avoid crashes on mobile. With Patch 26.0, we’ve been able to scale back the affected devices so that now iOS is able to play sound from other apps. The fix to the underlying issue, and with it the resolution for other mobile devices, is still scheduled for a later patch.
• We are seeing many reports of Golden Death Knight cards being removed from decks. Don’t worry, this is NOT a bug, this is the fix to a bug that prematurely granted all players all Go...

• Ysera now has 6 Armor, but Ysera still has 10 Armor at high MMR.

Patch 25.4.2 is a server-side hotfix patch deploying today with the following updates:

• [Mercenaries] Fixed a bug where Chromie portraits could be obtained from packs and crafting while they were supposed to be exclusive to the Rewards Track. We have repaired the timeline so that those portraits won’t appear in packs until Patch 26.0.
• [Mercenaries] Fixed a bug where Lilian Voss’s Blades of the Anointed would not unlock upon Bounty completion as intended.
• [Mercenaries] Fixed a bug where Mythic Boss Rush bosses could get out of order.
• [Mercenaries] Fixed a bug where the Cast them Overboard! Treasure did not grant Windfury as intended.
• [Duels] Fixed a bug that allowed ineligible cards into card buckets under certain circumstances.

• Murozond has been returned to the Minion Pool.
• Wasteland Assassin and Devourer of Souls have been removed from the Professor Putricide Hero Power pools. Possessive Banshee, Handless Forsaken, and a new minion, Cursed Shadow, are being added to the Hero Power pools.
  • Cursed Shadow is a Tier 5, 7/5 Undead with Stealth.
  • Dev Comment: Cursed Shadow is only being added to the Professor Putricide Hero Power pool, not the general Minion Pool.

We’ve recently updated the product description on the Sylvanas Ranger General Legendary Bundle and we wanted to clarify that change.

Some (non-3D) premium Hero Skins are intended to include unique hero power VFX. For the new Legendary (3D) Hero Skins, we wanted the focus to be on the 3D hero model, so the hero portrait has a special animation when you use your hero power, instead. It was brought to our attention that the wording of the Legendary Hero Skin descriptions made it sound like Legendary Hero Skins would have both, so we corrected that wording to make the product description clearer.

It’s safe to say that the reception to Signature cards hasn’t lived up to our hopes. We wanted to take a moment to respond to all the great feedback you’ve been giving us about them and tell you a bit about our plans for them.

First, our goals for Signature cards. We want to celebrate the art, putting it front and center, focusing on appealing, exciting, high-quality, and unique full art. We want them to be special items that you want to collect. And we want them to feel great to get; it should feel like a bonus, pure upside.
