Changes

  • Added new 2d art for the Devotion and Eye of Orexia uniques.
  • Javelin now scales with melee damage on your polearm rather than from all sources while you have a polearm equipped.
    • This shouldn’t make a large difference, but removes some confusing edge cases.
  • Acolyte Damage over Time
    • The Pestilence node for Spirit Plague was too strong, so it was adjusted in 0.8.3, but we feel that this left DoT Acolytes a bit weaker than intended.
    • Wandering Spirits deals 40% more damage and gains 4% increased damage per intelligence (from 4% increased necrotic damage).
    • Spirit Plague deals 11% more damage.
    • Infernal Shade deals 33% more damage and costs 18 mana (from 21).
    • Drain Life deals 20%...

Sorry about that! drm0916 is correct, if you complete the Ruby Commander quest first you can turn in the other quest.

We have a fix in the works for this but it won’t be in our first hotfix.

Very sorry about this! It sounds like your character might have been rolled back (character data is saved locally). If you go to Thetima in the Divine Era you will be able to progress again, but that would mean starting the Chapter over unfortunately.

If you haven’t restarted the game more than once, you could upload your two log files in case there’s some information in there for us to debug. Thanks!

Since you had a passive point from that earlier quest that was removed, you essentially had 1 point extra compared to what the game thought you should have. Now that you’ve leveled up once it should work as normal, and you can do the Chapter 9 quest to get the passive point back.

Again, sorry that this isn’t clear.

I believe this is the same cause:

We’ve found a potential cause and we’re working on a fix. Unfortunately it will require a hotfix patch to deploy.

I’ve asked internally, and I believe this is because a passive point reward was moved from an existing quest to one of the new quests in Chapter 9 of the story. If you do that quest you’ll have the point again. Sorry about the confusion.

If you save files re-appeared it sounds like Steam automatically downloaded them from the cloud. Try disabling steam cloud, or running the game’s executable directly so it doesn’t use Steam (you’ll have to login manually though)

Could you also upload your Saves? They’re located in the same spot, just add it to a .zip. Thanks!

Comment

Try deleting your Saves folder (you can just move it to somewhere else) and see if you can get into game then.

If you can, make a new character. The you should be able to drag your saves back in.

Sorry about this! We’re looking into the problem now. Could you please also upload your Saves folder? It’s located in the same place as your log file. Add it to a .zip and upload it here. Thanks!

Sorry about this! Could you please upload your log file and System Information? (press the Windows Key, search for DXDiag, run it and click the Save All Information button, then upload it here).

As for the Option A, B, C issue, it sounds like your INI file has a problem. If you delete it (and the backup), that issue should be fixed. It’s located ...

Sorry, we’ll look into that dead link. Those files are correct, thanks.

Could you both attach your System Information? @Tacocat @hadi94

I’ll keep an eye on this, we haven’t had this problem internally so we probably need to collect more information before we can investigate.

And changing various graphics settings didn’t affect it further? I’d recommend updating your drivers and operating system just in case, and then restart your PC.

Let us know what you find out. Some video clips would help a lot, if you’re able. Thanks.

I’m not seeing anything obvious from the log, unfortunately. Next I would try deleting your INI file (and the backup), then restart the game to have fresh settings. If it’s still happening after that, try changing graphics settings to see if it changes.

Could you elaborate? Are they on your action bar but can’t be used? If they aren’t on your bar, your passives might have been respec’d.

A video clip and a log file would also be helpful.
