Basically the previous variation had acceleration, meaning you reach your full speed after being a second or so on the maximum with your analog stick.
Now it will be more linear, which means you will reach that speed instantly if you push hard right or left, basically it's more linear, like with mouse movement, which depends on how much it traveled.
That's at least how I understand it from the post and others.
Basically, yes. It will be an option, so you can keep the classic curve if you would prefer!

It is a big topic here as well, and we are well aware of the impact it is having. We don't have anything more than that to share.
I really don't understand why it's so hard to fix these exploits. I'm no Dev and really shouldn't have a opinion on it but for a multi million dollar company there's no excuse anymore. I know there's rumors where some Siege Devs reportedly temporarily left the team to help with Breakpoint and Quarantine and if that's true then I have no idea why they would cripple one of their top profitable games by making Devs leave and let the game go to crap.
That isn't true.
The reason it is a complicated is because it is tied to one of our most base level systems that touches on nearly everything. It also isn't a situation where throwing more devs on it fixes it faster, because only so many people can work on it at once.
We gotta get you a new job somewhere and it looks like all the jobs are in china now 😭

As I've some years of intense IT background as well i do know that sometims fixes can take some time and I'm sure you're doing your best to get things up and running again :) But Imo taking some more time to get things fixed would be better than temporary solutions, which could probably bring some more unwanted side effects. But thats just my opinion and the way I would solve problems like these. And for sure, it's not the easiest decision between taking some loadouts(claymores, shields, etc.) out of the game for probably months and making a temporary fix, which allows you to use these gadgets again instantly.
Regarding casual matchmaking: More often than sometimes it feels like matchmaking/ranks in casual differs way too much between attackers and defenders, means we're getting stomped by much stronger opponents. For sure there's enough space for getting better on my side, i know ;) but in some matches I really do feel like can...
Interesting point regarding casual matchmaking! We actually use the exact same system for ranked and casual. Casual has a MMR just like ranked, but it isn't displayed. It is likely that people play them differently, so it is less accurate than their Ranked rank.

- Fixing the Clash/IQ/shield glitches: instead of fixing the root causes of these bugs, why adding the failsafes? I know there's a good intention behind for sure, but from my point of view, time would be better spent on fixing the root causes.
- Dropshotting: Yayyyy its back... I mean, seriously!?
- "Bomb only" in ranked: i don't think its a good move to remove "secure area" and "hostage" from ranked... why not making four separated ranked modes instead(secure, hostage, bomb, and one with all together)? I don't know UBI's internal stats, but I could imagine the majority of the player base is more representive than the pro league one's.
- Matchmaking in casual: Name says it, but it could be better adapted to the own rank/skill.
Nevertheless, I really do like playing R6S...

Thanks for giving me an opportunity to clarify on a few things.!
The true fix for the exploits is a massive reconfiguration to how we handle one of the most critical components of the game. We are testing it as much as possible before releasing it. This is a temporary solution why we make sure that the true fix doesn't have an hidden nastys. :)
Drop shotting will only be back for a short time. Not ideal, but sometimes these things happen . We currently have a fix planned for 2.1 if it tests well!
Bomb is our most played and most balanced game mode.

I'm very disappointed to see no patch notes about the console aim acceleration change that was announced 2 seasons ago. It was aimed to be released Y4S2 but unfortunately nothing yet..
It would be awesome to get a dev update about it!

I think it is very important to remember that there are huge communities of players outside of the English community. Matimi0 is the only English streamer, but these others are just as big of a deal in their respective communities.

Not really. The "incentive" in extremely minor. They just have slightly higher MMR during their placement matches the following season.
We are looking at what we can do to detect and manage smurfs though, and have a cell that is thinking on it.
I thought if you got 2100 it goes to 2300 because that's in the middle of 2100 and 2500, the 1500 minimum i think just so people cant get negative mmr and start on like 500 and start low copper
