Yes. The dungeons were designed to be completed in their entirety and the balancing reflects that.

Hey. There is a job currently in QA that addresses this issue. Feel free to reply with any areas where you feel this is an issue. I have a list of areas that should be fixed but there may be some extra areas we need to look at :)

Glad you enjoyed it :)

I put a job in for this while I was testing the latest yak track armours. It's my understanding that this is actually an issue with the lighting that is set up in the environment ant not the armours themselves. I will pass this information on again but im unsure when it will get looked at since the player avatar rework is the highest priority currently.

Ooof. I'm pet off the log too. I think I'll afk til the next threshold and then just keep doing hard mode kills.

For the next yak track these should now have separate values so we can scale the individual skills appropriately.

Thats what I like to hear!

This task allows you to use 'good ol bones' to complete as burying bones manually takes the same amount of time.

Same could be said about burning maple logs vs elder :p

Minigames. I personally avoided these tasks as I don't enjoy them but I know others that do.

It comes down to what's on spotlight mostly. If it comes down to:

"1hour doing X skill vs 40minutes of minigame I dont want(or might not even be possible if spotlight is a dead one) OR 3hrs 20 minutes of minigame I do want." It will probably come down to skilling. But if the choice was:

"1hour doing X skill vs 40 minutes of any minigame" the minigame choice is much more compelling. Since thaler is ti...

I agree with what you've said about maple vs elder logs. The problem with that though is it really affects the price of logs. Everyone would always opt for the cheapest option and the increased demand would make the price go up. This is why im such a fan of the gain xp tasks. It opens up every skilling method to the player and also offers cheaper but slower training alternatives.

How the yak track works for ironman will have to be discussed further. I personally dont have any issues with ironmen receiving xp from the free track but I know others dont agree with this.

Hey, Thanks for the feedback!

I'm glad you appreciate the changes that were made but I agree there is still more that can be done. Here are a few notes for some of your points.

-Agility. I agree the numbers need to be lowered for this task.

-Gain XP tasks. These seem to have gone down pretty well (although some need xp tweeks). We will try to include some more with the next track. I think slayer and dungeoneering are the ones that would currently benefit the most from being changed. Other tasks such as herblore, fletching and crafting would also benefit here.

-Firemaking. Requiring elder logs is actually an issue with the joint task system. The current system means both tasks are restricted by the same value. For example, opening up magic logs for a firemaking task would open up lots of low-level fish and drastically speed up those tasks. For the next yak track these should now have separate values so we can scale the individual skills appropriately....

as for the construction contracts, it felt like it was Implied here, but that may have been the change from build this into gain xp.

I hope to see Slayer and DG to be changed to Gain XP in the future, perhaps it would revive DG a bit again.

Yeah that was just me hinting that they would work for the next track in some way. Sorry for the confusion :)

Whilst we are at it, Slayer and DG could do with a XP goal, rather than having what they have now.

My main disappointment with both Slay and DG is that if you wanna do it quickly, you basically do the easiest method.
Those being:
DG: run 1:1 C1
Slayer: Run Mazchna

In my honest opinion, doing a 5:5 C6 Large floor should give more progress, perhaps even for a 1:1 C6 Small or Medium.

as for Slayer, the progress points should scale like it does with Clue Scrolls, the higher the master, the more progress points you are given, that way it keeps the task fresh and fun instead of asking mazchna 25 times for a task - and those doing the Slay tasks that way are tempted to seek out the best master every 10th task anyway so that also slows it down.

Hey, Thanks for the feedback :)

Pretty much all of this is stuff I have already relayed to the team from my time testing the yak track. A large amount of these issues would be solved quickly by changing the tasks to 'gain xp' which is what we did for smithing and construction for this track. These tasks seem more fair in that you will gain the fastest progress by completing the best xp methods but also have the option to do everything else.

To address a few specific points: - Runecrafting tasks are quite difficult to open up due to the multiple rune mechanics. Opening the task up to these runes not only considerably speeds up this tasks but also encourages sub-optimal training to complete the task. While opening up an extra rune at the top end wont cause issues the scaler will mostly affect mid-level task. -I dont remember it ever being stated anywhere that construction contracts would have their own tasks. The current iteration of the construction task will advance...

The previous smithing tasks encouraged training the skill inefficiently by creating low level items to complete the task faster. This is similar to how dungeoneering and slayer tasks are currently which we also want to address.

These are the first two we have changed in this way (I believe archaeology always had a 'gain xp'). Depending on the data we collect and any feedback will depend if we change more in the future. Consider these a test :)

Hey.

I completely agree. We changed the construction and smithing tasks with this track to 'gain xp' to see if these helped improve the cost/grindyness. This is something we can look to do for more skills in the future depending on the feedback we receive :)

This is something we're looking at now. The item uses the same system as the penguin D&D. The issue would be present with that but isn't noticed as much due to the penguin locations.

Yes this is the solution. Wizards tower present is on the bottom floor. Lumbridge castle is the middle floor.

Hey. Do you have any more information please? Which location did you find the present? Ive just logged in and was able to collect the one in the wizards tower as expected.

Hey. We are looking into this as two of the minibosses seem to have been removed from the list. A workaround for now is to kill Tombi. From my checks that should tick off Yor'Ger in the achievement.

Just asked about this. If you have the relic active you will not be healed to full. The option to heal at the bank will remain for those players that still want to heal :)
