I just want to say that I appreciated the theme and the work done on this event. It is one of my favorite events in recent memory. It definitely captured the oldschool feel, and was reminiscent of Goblin Diplomacy. Great job and I look forward to more of the content you work on in the future.

Hey! It means the world to me seeing people having fun and enjoying the event, I wasn't expecting such a positive reaction. Thank you so much.

This was the best work-around we could come up with. Creds to Mod West for re-creating the sheets. :^ )

I am at work rn reloading the page just in hope of seeing new details appearing.

The hype is so real that I spammed some of my friends who dont play anymore just because ai feel like people will come back for that!

It makes me incredibly happy to see posts like this. Believe me, I am equally hyped. My best excitement-outlet is planning my account, because having a game-plan will be key.

Keep staying tuned, it will be worth it. Happy scaping!

It makes me so happy seeing you guys already coming up with ideas like this for future leagues. Really cool concept, thanks for the suggestion!

No spoilers, but I will at least say we have thought about this.

Is there a plan on how players are to obtain viable equipment for Chambers and its challenge mode? Hitting time requirements on challenge modes are going to be awfully tight if not too tight. Are players going to recieve equipment from rewards/tasks alongside points such as Blowpipe, higher tier crossbows, etc?

And will drop rates be changing to accomodate tasks? Asking to weild a 1/5000 droprate item people commonly go dry on as a Hard task is a bit of a stretch surely not?

This you will have to find out once the update goes live, we don't want to spoil the juicy parts for you guys! Theory-crafting is key in this game mode! :)

I feel like this type of game design feels VERY bad for the players specially competitive ones (since it all comes down to rng to determine if you can complete the task or not)

I also dont think rewards should be tradeable but instead should be available after every season. (not limited). If you are bad and want the rewards play 2 seasons. If you are good play one. Making them tradeable removes a lot of the prestige that comes from the rewards themselves.

As I stated above, we don't want heavy RNG to determine your rank.

My response was stating that those aren't realistically attainable without getting lucky, even if you're a hardcore player.

I agree, but is that relevant as long as it doesn't affect your end goals and result? If a pet or such is not a gatekeeper towards receiving your desired reward or rank, I struggle understanding why it's a problem for such tasks to exist. We would intentionally withhold content for some who could actually achieve it.

Pet is to heavily based on rng. A player with Max gear, stats and scouts is very likely to never get it in that timeframe. Look at kacy with Max gear took 4k solo kc for Pet.

Of course it is, but the relevancy of the pet task is completely dependent on the amount of master/elite tasks we are handing you. If the pet was one out of a hundred (as an example, not a real number) master tasks, it would make literally no difference whether you got a pet or not. You see where I'm coming from?

The rewards look amazing and make me excited to play the league for some of these (home tele, wall recolour, ancestral ornament and slay helm are all amazing). If I get a DwH on leagues before I do on my iron main I'll be sad

Right? Mod West did an insane job on these!

Looks pretty good, and rewards aren't too much. I like.

2 months seems like a lot, feels like most will get burnt out long before then, and even the most dedicated will either achieve their goals before then, or give up.

Maybe something more 1 month, or may be 6 weeks? Still plenty of time for us casuals to get our fill, and for the hardcores to do their challenges.

The Twisted League will act as a pilot League, which we are hoping to learn from! If we notice that players are unhappy about the length, we will adjust it for future leagues.

No you can see perfectly fine! There's no release date yet.

Top placements should not be entirely reliant on good RNG. You can't reach the droprate for these achievements in this timeframe. Unless there are substantial droprate buffs, full completion is rng based.

I don't see top placements being reliant on good RNG. There's plenty of no-RNG tasks available.

Well it certainly won't be me since the time investment is absurd.

Let's look at the Hard, Elite, and Master Tasks.

Hard: Equip a Dragon Warhammer

  • RNG variable, but I think 50-100+ hours on average, especially without a blowpipe, is a safe bet.

Elite: Complete 250 Chambers of Xeric Runs

  • Efficient Raids with max stats are around 20 minutes. Trident and Blowpipe won't be available here either, nor will barrows. So realistically, if being generous, a maxed player would be able to complete maybe 2 raids per hour. And that's with lucky scouts (alt scouting will be meta, btw). So that's 125 hours of raids at max efficiency, and the real number is far higher.

Master: Metamorphose Olmlet

  • So not only do you have to OBTAIN Olmlet (assuming the average raid is about 100,000 points (~11% of drop) in a trio, and you have 33...

Those are three of many tasks available, if you choose to go for a full completion or to compete for the top 1% that's your own choice. This type of investment is not requred to play the game mode or recieve rewards. These tasks exist to give the most hardcore players goals to achieve as well.
