@tazman1983 @ComplexMinded @NotDollie We don't host the updates, we just push them through to the other platform systems and theyre sent out to users from there. So whatever platform you're playing on, they're the ones in control of that stuff.
@tazman1983 @ComplexMinded @NotDollie Arguably all platforms (literally all) are probably experiencing higher user counts the past few months than ever before due to the pandemic so I can understand things are overloaded.
@tazman1983 @ComplexMinded @NotDollie For PS4, doing something like this could help, it seems like others have had success w/ it on Reddit:
Otherwise just pausing/resuming or just afking whilst it downloads.
@tazman1983 @ComplexMinded @NotDollie It's just connecting to some platform owned downloads servers and getting the files from there. You might have better luck pausing/resuming but its not something we have control over.
@sam39857826 @ZZapus @simonallum Yep, they will go back to normal.
@JordanLaws0n @NotDollie Correct, we haven't worked on ATLAS for sometime now but were only able to announce the change recently when some of the new crew were introduced.
@KEEMSTAR He didn't say he doesn't know, he said Twitch hasn't notified him.
@CarlosAKABabyJ Sure but the approval would have taken place over the weekend for it to be pushed out right now :P
@bubblywums norts & crosses too
I'll probably get a bit quiet again on social now that were through these fires, so for those of you who are seeking ARK news make sure you're following these fine accounts: @survivetheark @ComplexMinded @NotDollie
Big plays from Microsoft and Sony to get these out over the weekend ❤️
Some more good news. Hopefully we'll hear back from Japan & EE (Europe, rest of the world) soon too as their work days are just starting to begin/will begin in a few hours. None of these patches will require server restarts, just client side updates.
North & South American (SCEA) PS4 Players, We can confirm that the latest client patch (v549.12) with the fixes has passed cert & is live. Please restart your applications/consoles to download the patch. We're still waiting to receive confirmation for other regions.
And one more, see ya later guys :P
@ZZapus @simonallum Yep, folks are likely still going to crash on PS4 rather frequently until this client update gets through cert, but we aren't doing any rollbacks
If you're wondering who this is... it's this guy.
@ZZapus @simonallum We may have a better way to handle this in the future and it's something I'll be discussing with the team in our mtgs today (Monday).
Here's another one, don't think it ever saw the light of day so hopefully, I don't get yelled at for sharing but boy did it crack me up.
@Rpurser311 @yomomma24481252 Don't have an ETA, it's being pushed through the systems though so hopefully sometime soon. It's just a client patch that needs to go out, nothing to do with servers.
@ZZapus @simonallum Unfortunately we're not able to rollback Obs specifically
@seanedits The crashes were actually related to memory, and prior to that 20gb update players would have had more due to the corrupted files. So a side effect of fixing it, meant that players had access to less memory, thus causing more crashes. However this latest update (v800.18) fixes it
