I just want to apologize to everyone in the Southern Hemisphere. My own words are really sticking in my craw there.

I’m sorry.

Stop taunting me into these threads!*

For me, it’s Kun-Lai Runt. There are so many reasons, but I think the combination of so very cute and, honestly awesome moveset is just too much for me to not love. And yes, I said it. It’s love.

As we read most everything posted here (and elsewhere) about next week’s content update, we can’t help but be impacted by the subject of transportation portal removal. It’s a subject that’s approaching 5000 replies in one thread alone, and the question raised there, repeatedly, has been, “why?” Here’s the answer to that question.

From the beginnings of World of Warcraft, game designers have had a number of guiding principles. Sometimes these notions change quickly, and sometimes they evolve slowly, but a few guiding principles have remained more or less the same throughout WoW’s history. One such lodestar has been “don’t overuse portals between locations in the world”. Too many eliminations of the distances between places can diminish a sense of the world having a meaningful size.

Of course there’s an equal and opposite design consideration—“don’t make it too inconvenient to get from most places to most other places”. Some amount of convenience is vital. Not every visi...

There’s a significant set of changes to Beast Mastery coming in the content update next week. These were shipped off toward the PTR yesterday, but haven’t appeared there yet:

  • Barbed Shot damage increased by 125%.
  • Barbed Shot’s bleed damage now ignores the target’s armor.
  • Cobra Shot damage increased by 25%.

For the Heart of Azeroth:

  • Feeding Frenzy’s tooltip damage displayed has been lowered commensurate with Barbed Shot now ignoring armor. Its total effective damage remains unchanged.

As always, you’ll see these (and everything else) in the final update notes, which we’ll publish just before the update goes live.

I raid to spend time with my friends who I don’t get to often see face-to-face because they live in different corners of the world.

I raid to make memories with them. We have shared experiences that I wouldn’t trade for anything.

I really like how story-driven raiding is – for my friends who roleplay their characters to various degrees, it’s so fun to see them interacting with the NPCs and bosses and rewards.

Underrated tip right there.

Also, go see Magni again after maintenance next week.

Over in the Classic Update thread, this caused us to do some investigation:

Correct.

Also, the current plan is for Crucible of Storms Normal/Heroic to open on April 16, 2019, and Mythic/Raid Finder to begin a week later on April 23.

Battle of Dazar’alor is still quite new – a majority of organized raiders are working their way through their initial preferred difficulty, with higher difficulties to follow for many, and the final Raid Finder wing of Battle of Dazar’alor just opened this week.

Hello Classic enthusiasts! We’ve been following the discussions about Classic closely here on the forums (and elsewhere) throughout the winter, and wanted to give you an update on a few things that the Classic development team has worked through since BlizzCon and the Classic demo.

The feedback we got from the demo was fantastic. Thank you to everyone who gave us so much feedback to work with, especially the community members who compiled lists of issues that people found with the demo. We’ve looked at everything that was reported, and want to share a few anecdotes with you so you can see how we’re tackling these issues.

One thing many players noticed was the incorrect health regeneration and the spell critical hit multiplier. Good catch! Going into the demo, we thought we’d fixed that and were surprised to see the issue crop up. Before BlizzCon, we specifically checked health and mana regeneration, and fixed the critical hit cases. We also did combat and regeneration ...

My first Minfernal also originated on a Spanish-speaking realm. I think it was Ragnaros.

This limitation is not being lifted in the next content update on March 12.

Side note: On my second most-played realm, I haven’t created a Demon Hunter yet. I’ve been thinking I’d like his name to be something associative with how he sounds in battle. So maybe YEAOWW. Or OOUAHHH.

It would be fun to hear my raid team refer to me by that name in voice comms.

I’m no longer ashamed of how many times this has happened to me. It’s just the story of my life in WoW.

Second most-common mistake I make-- playing for hours with Kirin Tor Rings and Cloak of Coordination equipped before noticing my weak damage.

I’m looking at one in the AH, being offered for 70,000g.

Thanks for the reminder to look. I’ve still never gotten one.

Yes.

I don’t think I ever seriously played a Hunter until Highmountain Tauren came along. Now I consider Hunter to be one of my top three classes to play, and my Highmountain Hunter is my definitive Hunter.

I have a feeling I’m going to feel that way about the Dark Iron Rogue that’s in my near future.

I’ve updated the OP here.
The changes outlined above are now live in all regions.

[Updated 15:40 PST]
The changes below are now live in all regions.

Today, we’re working on hotfixes that will focus on two areas of concern.

As we’ve monitored PvP matches since our PvP mana changes to healers and Restoration Druids, we’ve found that Lifebloom, as a source of healing, has become too-efficient. While the reduction to Focused Growth’s increased healing and mana cost savings is a sizeable change, Restoration Druids have a wide variety of well-performing PvP talent options to fit in its place.

Druid

  • Restoration
  • Focused Growth now reduces the mana cost of Lifebloom by 8% (was 20%).
  • Focused Growth now increases the healing of Lifebloom by 8% per stack (was 20%).

Additionally, we’ve identified an Azerite Trait that has been providing too much healing in an arena environment when multiple members of a team equip the trait.

Blood Elf Priest.

I just like how the aesthetic combines with the class. Always have.
