We plan to hotfix the PTR later today to enable the Reaping affix.
We’re underway with the deployment of our first build of WoW 8.1.5 to our Public Test Realms. We expect it to be playable soon, and we want to start discussions about the features of the update that we’ll be testing:
• The Kul Tiran Allied Race unlock
• The Zandalari Allied Race unlock
• Naga invasion World Quests
• New portal rooms in faction capitals
• The next chapter of pet battle Raiding with Leashes
• Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin visual improvements
Our testing in this first build will be primarily technical, so some 8.1.5 features will be locked/unavailable for the first few days while we work on initial concerns:
• New War Campaign quests
• New quests and questlines focused on Magni, Hati, and the eight non-gathering primary Professions
• Warlords of Draenor Timewalking dungeons
• New Brawl in Arathi Basin vs. AI
• Wintergrasp coming to the Epic Battleground list
• New Brawler’s Guild update
• New ...
In this forum, please post about bugs encountered while testing the 8.1.5 update on the public test realms.
This is where we’ll discuss topics related to the features coming to WoW in the 8.1.5 update.
With scheduled maintenance next week, starting on December 18 in American realms, we’re focusing on shoring up a couple of specs that fell a little behind with Tides of Vengeance:
Druid
Mage
Both of these adjustments will apply to PvP activities as well.
This was an intentional change.
With the new Family Battler achievement, we changed all of the Kul Tiras and Zandalar trainers to allow them to be battled at any time. This makes it so that players can complete the achievement at their leisure, rather than having to wait for a specific World Quest to become available.
At the same time, we increased the chance for pet leveling stones to be a World Quest reward, and reduced the chance of both battle pet bandages and War Resources to show up as potential rewards from pet battle World Quests.
This behavior is certainly not intended.
We’re investigating it.
The war raging across Azeroth between Alliance and Horde has intensified. As the Alliance lays plans to retake Darkshore and regain a foothold in Kalimdor, both factions have redoubled their attacks across the zones of Kul Tiras and Zandalar.
For those just returning or who otherwise need to be caught up we have guides for both new and returning players.

Yes. Completing Mythic Keystones higher than level 10 will yield more Residuum for each additional level, with diminishing returns.
Immediately after the Tides of Vengeance update goes live with scheduled maintenance in each region, you’ll now be able to target specific kinds of Azerite armor by earning Titan Residuum, which can be used to purchase Azerite armor from everyone’s favorite purveyor of exquisite furnishings: Thaumaturge Vashreen, who can be found alongside his fellow ethereals in either Boralus or Dazar’alor.
In the weekly cache, you’ll now receive an amount of Titan Residuum in addition to your weekly item. Completing higher-level Keystones will award greater amounts of Titan Residuum from your weekly cache. Scrapping or disenchanting new epic-quality Azerite gear obtained in Tides of Vengeance (from any source) also provides Titan Residuum, with more powerful items yielding more Residuum.
After the update goes live, your weekly cache will contain Titan Residuum, and will not have a chance to contain a piece of Azerite Armor. We suggest you complete at least one Mythic Keyston...
Read moreIn Tides of Vengeance, in addition to two new Island Expeditions, we’re making a number of adjustments and improvements to Islands. One of those changes will alter how various cosmetic rewards are determined, and we’d like to explain that further, as we promised here: https://twitter.com/WarcraftDevs/status/1065080683058487297
Currently in Battle for Azeroth, Island Expeditions have a chance to reward cosmetic items based on which type of creatures you and your team defeated. For examp...

The Diablo 3 subreddit runs a "blue tracker" that you can follow if you really want to see every single thing that they post.
Aloha! waves
May i ask when we see this hotfix going live?
We've been working hard to get it done today. The earliest we could have the change go live is later this evening. If we hit snags, it could be Monday.
I'll update our Hotfixes blog post ASAP after it goes live, and tweet about it.
we're applying a hotfix that makes the various cosmetic bonus rewards more common
Does this include pets and mounts?
And how common? Are you doubling the drop rates from 0 to 0, or are these going to be significant increases.
Just want to confirm explicitly -- yes, we're increasing the drop rates of pets, mounts, toys, transmog items, and quest starters.
And thank YOU! The focus on not only class fantasy, but SPEC fantasy really makes this the best game I've played for being a real FIRE MAGE!
I LOVE FIRE SO MUCH!! TT_TT <3 <3 <3
(Plus, I was one of the bigger pushers for this, and I know it's a small taste of what devs and community managers must face, but MAN, you made all the insults worth it! XD)
P.S. the mount is the best in the game <3 Thank you again to y'all and the mount team. <3 <3
I'll make sure to pass this along to those who'll appreciate it!
... But Priest mount is best mount.
Mage designers, if you're reading this- Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!! for the spec-based barriers!!!
I know it was a bit of a point of contention, but thank you so much for making it happen. It really means a lot, and really shows how much you care. So again, thank you. My game has been SO much more enjoyable with my sweet, sweet fire barrier.
That's really cool to hear. Thanks for posting!

I've talked to and directly observed the work of class designers for many years, and I think it would be foolish to say that no subconscious feelings ever impact their work.
However, they don't work on classes in a vacuum, so it's a fairly moot concern. Collaborate with others, and you'll find that even your subconscious biases get quickly exposed.
/u/devlore Have you managed to get past 18 stacks yet in a S2M Voidform?
Life begins at 19 stacks.
Hi there!
Thanks for the AMA! I was just wondering if in the future there'd be class based AMA's with the devs in the future? Just seems, by looking through all the questions, that all the classes are competing with each other for attention and I'm worried that some classes just won't get many of their questions answered.
Thanks!
It's certainly possible that we'll do this again. Class-based feels like a lot to chew and swallow. Would we open up 12 different threads? 36?
That seems very unlikely to me, but anything is possible.
Not hating on you guys for answering mostly pve questions but could you please answer more than one pvp question(not this one though I don't wanna waste our few answers)
Yes!
Thanks for stopping by. We're answering as many different questions as we can.
