Hey, all

Thanks so much for sharing this with us, and providing us more info on this issue - and I apologize for the delay in getting a response over to you. The good news is, we're working on a fix for this which is slated to be released in 0.9.11.

Thanks again for bringing this up!

That I did, and I will look into what we're seeing from people, and hopefully figure out what is going on.

This may be one of the most interesting conversations I've ever followed.

Can I help with anything?

We're not certain of that. We're in touch with the team from USS Lexington and, if plans change, we'll let you know!

Edit: I just went and looked at the track for the hurricane, it looks like it turned pretty hard east, and is away from the bay, so I think the ship is in good shape for this.

I am not certain, and realistically, it is not something I would share, since it ultimately would not change the nature of the post.

Thank you for the suggestion and thoughts on this, Aurelius. I don't think you're trying to troll, and I can understand the position on this, and I can share this with the teams that monitor this, but I don't make any promises to this.

Hey all,

After the 9th season of Clan Battles, we performed a clan check. We received clear evidence that players of PWP and CCTV2 clans massively and repeatedly transferred access to their accounts during this competitive mode. Such actions violate paragraphs 5.2.1, 5.2.2, 5.2.3. EULA (link) and paragraphs 4.16 and 12.1 of the Game Rules (link). And just as importantly, such actions undermine the principles of fair play and competition in Clan Battles.
In light of this, we have decided, in accordance with paragraph 13 of the Clan Rules (link), to disband these clans, which entails the loss of all achievements, rating, and naval base. Also, soon the steel received as a result of participation in the ninth season of clan battles by these clans will be removed from the players' accounts. If a player has spent the steel, any ship purchased with said steel will be removed, and the difference will be refunded. If the steel has been converted to coal and a ship was...

Hey all,

I am fine with the conversation and respect everyone's opinions on things, but don't turn this political.

Thanks,

I was in the US Navy, so, I decided to go with the Navy symbol.

"On a circular background of fair sky and moderate sea with land in sinister base, a three-masted square-rigged ship underway before a fair breeze with after topsail furled, commission pennant atop the foremast, National Ensign atop the main, and the commodore's flag atop the mizzen. In front of the ship, a Luce-type anchor inclined slightly bendwise with the crown resting on the land and, in front of the shank and in back of the dexter fluke, an American bald eagle rising to sinister regarding to dexter, one foot on the ground, the other resting on the anchor near the shank; all in proper colors. The whole within a blue annulet bearing the inscription "Department of the Navy" at top, and "United States of America" at the bottom, separated on each side by a mullet and within a rim in the form of a rope; inscription, rope, mullet, and edges of annulet all gold.

Land in t...

Thanks for your feedback, and thoughts on WGC. I am sorry to say that we are not going to be changing our position on using WGC - at least not for the foreseeable future. Furthering this conversation does not serve any true purpose other than to perpetuate a discussion that will only result in potentially additionally flared emotions.

Again, thank you for your feedback on the WGC.

Hey there, Spud.
Please let me assure you, forum changes have nothing to do with anything as it relates to literally any system in World of Warships. The forums are only connected to the game because of the shared login using single sign on.

That said, we also support those people mentioned and will continue to do so. Further, our team focuses specifically on community engagement such as the forums, forum contests, live-streams, Discord chats, etc. We do not have our hands in game code at all. We share your feedback with the developers, and relay what is happening within the game, but our focus here does not take away resources from game specific mechanics or changes/updates.

The counter-argument about humans was in relation to Herr_Reitz's mentioning that the community is comprised of humans. Nothing more. :) We've also expressed multiple times, that if you are missing any content, please feel free to contact us, and we'd be sure to make sure it is remedied. In fact, that was highlighted in the original post, when we mentioned this change.

And just to be clear, our moderators did not make this decision, they were consulted about these changes, but ultimately, the NA community team made these decisions.

This conversation is going in circles and has become an echo chamber, feel free to continue the conversation, but I cannot reiterate my stance on this enough.

I have said above, we'll review the impact it has had - regarding the archived posts, and decide on what our next steps are.

I am not sure what you mean by the first line, can you clarify?

Why did I feel the need to clean up the forums? It is my job to continue to grow, evolve, and expand community engagement, and by reducing the clutter of subforums and completely out of date information we are able to get closer to that goal. Some of the side effects are unfortunate, to put it mildly, but, as we've stated countless times, it is not without remedy.

Yes, we shared the planned changes with our forum moderators and a few other folks before we decided to make these changes.

Also, this is not some major dramatic change that we've made. Really, it is actually pretty straight forward, we removed a bunch of subforums that were redundant and did not have any real purpose but to drive conversations further into the abyss.

As I have said above, we'll review the impact it has had - regarding the archived posts, and decide on what our next steps are. ...

I'm going to look into this tomorrow, I've already reached out to LWM and Lert, to discuss. The last thing we want to do is ostracize, or remove any content that is still relevant.

At this point, it does not matter what I say, it will be challenged, and ultimately the conversation will not end in any way that results in anyone being happy about it. Ultimately, we decided to clean up the forums, and as has been made obvious, some items have been impacted, which were not done intentionally, and we'll work with those who have been impacted to remedy that, which we've been saying multiple times in this thread.

I want to be clear, if we have not been already, none of these posts are GONE, they are not removed from our database, they have not been deleted, or destroyed, they are simply in subforums that are not visible at the moment, in an effort to clean up the forums. Please direct any ire towards me, as I was the one who decided to make this effort to clean up the forums.

I also want to repeat, this was not done with malice intent, or in an attempt to save data or whatever other else someone may think. The NA forums were a mess - conversations so completely and utterly split apart, with little to no semblance of balance, or flow.

Ya'll, lets chat,

All of the stuff happening with forum posts disappearing, or moving around, is simply us trying to streamline the forums, clean up out of date, or old content, and continue moving conversations forward. I think that we're making a bit of a mountain out of a molehill here. If there is a post that you'd like to have brought back to the surface, let us know, we can explore that. But, please don't think any of this is done with malice intent, or in an effort to raise someone, lower someone, or impact someone's work.

The forums were a mess, there were so many insanely out of date posts, and a ridiculous number of subforums that just muddied the water, so we decided to clean it up. If you have a post that is older than 6 months, that is still relevant and is regularly engaged, it would not have been impacted by these changes.

No one here is saying that we won't bring back older or out of date posts, we're simply trying t...

Hey all,

I understand some folks are frustrated, you want to try out submarines, but RNG has not been with you. It sucks, I can't change that for you. I can tell you why we decided to go this route, but I also know that no matter what I say here, there are some who are still not going to accept what I say as truth. I also can't change that, and for that, I am sorry.

While submarines are available in the main version of the game, they are ultimately still being tested. We are gathering as much data as we can for all aspects of the gameplay, not just what the player experience in a sub is. We need to get data on how other ships interact with each other when the threat of a submarine exists, or how playstyles change, or metas evolve.

The mechanic for giving out subs in this fashion is in service of what I said above - if we gave everyone submarines off the bat, not only do we run the risk of longer queue times with everyone trying to pl...
