That is a bit more of a challenge - changing the past or making sure things in the future are more inline with design.

You're not wrong. But, it was also not done out of malice.

We will continue to evaluate balance, and changes to things, and make changes as needed.

Hey all,

Just catching up on the thread.

We're balancing the economy of our operations. Those details will be outlined in our patch notes for 9.3 along with some bug fixes coming to operations like bot pathfinding.

Sorry for the delay in sharing this info with you.

So, all in all, I am in the wrong here. I am not afraid to admit it.

I posed a question that, I think, is really worth exploring, in a topic that, while in the same realm as the discussion at hand, did not feel like the most appropriate place to have that discussion. Forum posts tend to become echo chambers, and I want to discuss the topic I mentioned regarding feedback in a new thread, where people can really discuss and explore it on a deeper level. In effect, I was hijacking a post for my own benefit - and that is on me.

That said, we are community managers, our job is to not only be a part of the community but to ensure that the voice of the players is heard and that the voice of the studio is shared. Community management is not a 9-5 job - it is something that happens 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I am not saying that to ask for pity, or any of that - I love what I do. I've been doing community management for a great many years - it is what b...

Please don’t get this twisted. I plan to ask the question, but this thread is not the discussion for it.

I retracted my question for now. This is not the right thread to get into that sort of deeper discussion about. But also, that is not really an answer to the question as I posed it.

Thanks for your thoughts on this, Ghostbuster.

Sadly, I get that anything I say here is not going to do anything but continue a conversation that does not seem to have a conclusion that makes everyone satisfied.

I am sorry you feel that way - but no, this is not true. We do not have disdain for players.

We appreciate, and listen to feedback, argue as you wish with it, but it is true. We may not implement feedback that we are provided, or it may come in a different, iterated version, but the feedback is shared and discussed. It is not simply ignored.

Please don't confuse not implementing a specific amount of feedback, or an exact replica of feedback provided as ignoring it.

Hey there, yes we plan to reschedule these events as soon as we know we're able to execute it!

As we have said - and shown - we learned from the CV rework and applied those learnings to the way we're developing submarines.

Having things under NDA or embargo is not a new practice. Allowing players to get their hands on products early is also not a new practice. But, what becomes problematic is when an asset is released in this fashion they can be an extremely early stage of development, and that can cause some confusion. Either by us not communicating clearly that it is early or by people assuming that once it becomes available for some to play that it is in a close to the final version.

None of this was done with malicious intent or done to pull the wool over anyone's eyes.

I would encourage everyone to just take a step back, see how things go, and then share your feedback on this new way of doing things.

Good afternoon,

With the continued spread of COVID-19, and the recommendations of state, federal, and international health organizations, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our first three stops, USS North Carolina, USS New Jersey, and USS Turner Joy. All purchased tickets for these events will be refunded.

We continue to monitor COVID-19 and regulatory bodies' recommendations, and we will provide an update on any other potential changes to our 2020 AAT schedule.

Our teams are looking forward to rescheduling these three events, so don't worry! We'll see you aboard these amazing warships as soon as possible.

Thank you all,

~Tim

Hey all,

Just a quick note - one I am sad that I have to write, but please do not joke about, or make light of the situation surrounding COVID-19. These forums are not a place for it, and I have directed the moderators to remove any such posts.

Good afternoon,
Today, we have made the tough decision to postpone our Anchors Away tour stop at the USS North Carolina to a later date. The COVID-19 outbreak continues to spread, and with the guidance of local, state, and world health authorities this decision was made to reduce the risk for our community, as well as for our staff. Everyone who has purchased tickets to USS North Carolina will receive a refund of their ticket. We'll update everyone on the new date for this event at a later time.

We continue to monitor COVID-19 and regulatory bodies' recommendations, and we will provide an update on any other potential changes to our 2020 AAT schedule.

Thank you,

Hey all,

Currently, we are proceeding as normal for our Anchors Away 2020 Tour stops. However, we continue to monitor the Center for Disease Control, The World Health Organization and local health authorities’ advisories and recommendations on travel, and may need to evaluate each stop in the tour based on the potential risks of COVID-19.

The health of our community and our staff is our number one priority, in the unlikely case we need to delay or cancel a tour stop, we will issue a full refund of any tickets already purchased.

Please stay tuned to CDC travel information, and our social media channels for any updates.

Thanks,

I appreciate the Warpigs reference. One of my favorite songs.

If you continue to see extended queue times, please let us know.
