There is no secret police program, our volunteer moderators have always been tagged as 'Volunteer' moderators, the only thing that was 'secret' was their identity. This was originally done, with the best intentions, but, in my experience, always ends up being more of a formality than a necessity.

None of this is done maliciously, I hope you can see that! We are trying to bring the community together, not split them apart, there is no other motive behind this.

Yep! Everyone had a voice in the discussion, and the option to not reveal their secret identities, it was up to them.

I'd be curious what risks you see? To me, having moderators be behind a curtain has always been weird. People should be celebrated for the work they do. Keeping in mind, that each moderator had the option of saying no and continuing to operate with their previous accounts.

As you all know, we have a fantastic team of volunteer moderators who help keep these forums both active, engaged, and help make sure the content shared on the forums support our forum guidelines.

For a while, these moderators were using an alternate account to moderate and manage the forums. Well, today, I’m excited to announce that we’re going to be lifting that mask off the moderators and allow them to continue doing the awesome work they have been doing – but on their own account.

These folks deserve our gratitude and appreciation for all the hard work they continue to do. Their personal time has been dedicated to more than just playing the game or engaging in the forums.

With that said, I’d like to announce that we are opening the application for new volunteer moderators to join the team. If you are interested in applying for the moderation team please fill out this application.

Commanders! You may have encountered an issue in the 0.8.11 update, which caused bonus coal and steel from the Clan base buildings not to be credited.

We have fixed this bug and lost steel and coal will be credited to your accounts. The amount of the credited resources was rounded. Coal

I concede that we could have made it more clear that there was a limited number of each item available. I cannot turn back the clock, but I can promise that I will work with our teams to ensure future events have a clear consideration of things like limited quantity items.

When all is said and done, I now have a pink beard and have to go through an airport tomorrow.

There was no dishonesty in this at all. We had a limited number of each item available. Using the Tiltify platform, we ented the information on how many items, what price, and what date/time it should go live. Outside of that, the majority of it is automatic.
