That being said, the team reviews each server on a daily basis to see if the status can be changed to “high” and I do know there were some previously “full” worlds that were unlocked. I’d recommend keeping an eye out on Server Status | New World to see if the server you’re interested in is available for character creation.
To clarify, “full” does not necessarily mean that the server is full at that dedicated moment; it’s an indication of how many active players there are on that particular server on a daily basis to ensure that players with established characters are granted access over new characters coming in.

We are aware that there are some issues with EAC and Steam preventing players from accessing New World.
If you encounter this issue, we recommend re-installing EAC or verifying the game file through Steam to resolve this issue and get back to playing.

Open the New World Application in your Steam library and go to Settings → Manage → Browse Local Files
Yes we do have an official Amazon Games Discord that has a New World-specific category in it. There’s a company recruiting section there so hopefully you can find a group you enjoy playing with. We plan to do a lot of cool things there as well in the future!
Thanks for the flag and the report! I’m going to surface this to the team for further investigation. Out of curiosity, does anyone know if this started happening after the patch or was this occurring from the start of launch?
Sorry, the only information that I know (other than the information that’s already public) is that they’re still working on polishing up the feature for release. But we will share more information when we have it!
