I just posted this on another thread but in case you aren’t following it, I sent this over to our team to investigate and they concluded that Hale & Hearty is working as intended; the attributes screen is showing your buffed health - not your base health. You should be able to double check by going to your Bio screen and noting your active buffs.

We’re currently investigating the issue for players who reported this issue.
Hi all,
Our team has been able to reproduce the issue affecting players who have lost their equipped items. We have established that this situation only affects characters that disconnected from New World before the Season 1 update, and were either killed before the next login, or disconnect the Death’s Door screen.
For additional clarification, this issue does not impact characters that disconnect in either of the above states after the Season 1 of Fellowship and Fire was released. It is only those who were in a ‘death’s door’ state before the update.
We are actively working on correcting this issue for affected players and will provide an update once we have more information to share.

Just to check - is it enabled in both locations: in-game and through Steam?

No, there isn’t a seasonal event running at the moment. We are looking into reports of Juniper Berries not dropping.
Update: is your Steam Overlay enabled? If not, that may be what is blocking you. Reopening thread for OP response.
Have you tried enabling the Steam overlay? I’ve heard it’s resolved this issue for some players.
