In update 7.20 we are enabling a brand new “Item Reset” feature. Schematics, Heroes, or other items will be tagged “eligible for reset” if they are impacted by a significant balance or design change. When you view one of these eligible items in your Armory, you will have the option to reset the item, which returns it to level 1 and sets all attached schematic perks back to the rarity level they started at. In return, you will receive all of the XP, evolution materials, RE-Perk, and Perk-UP that were spent to perform those upgrade operations.

Each flagged item can only be reset one time, and if you choose to upgrade the item (level it up, change the perks, etc) you will lose the ability to reset it. Items that have had their rarity increased with Flux will remain at their new rarity, and the Flux will not be returned. On newly acquired items we will track the starting rarity of each Perk and return them to those levels on a reset, but for existing items we are assu...

These changes are very exciting! However, I just want to make sure that everyone is aware that only items that undergo significant balance changes are going to be tagged for the item resets.

"In update 7.20 we are going to flag all weapon schematics and heroes with armor perks as being eligible for a reset, due to the recent replacement of damage resistance perks with armor perks"

Those that have Heroes they want to reset, that have not been impacted by the v7.10 Armor change, will need to wait until the Hero Loadout launches. PLEASE do not accidentally recycle your heroes thinking they will go back to level 1.

We agree that the messaging on the Xbox One S Fortnite Bundle was unclear and so will be granting free access to Save the World for those who purchased the bundle.

We are going to begin identifying players who have claimed the Eon Bundle and will be granting their accounts access to Save the World. We will also make sure that all future players who claim the Eon Bundle will be granted access to Save the World moving forward.

If you already had purchased Save the World and claimed the Eon Bundle, we will be granting you an additional 2,000 V-Bucks.

We hope to have an update shortly on the exact timing of entitlements.

UPDATE 12/27 - We'll begin the process of granting retroactive entitlements early next week when our offices reopen for the new year. We will provide an additional update on the progress of the grants around that time.

UPDATE 1/8 - Additional information can be found ...

Hey everyone,

you can find the most recent message regarding this issue: HERE.

Hey everyone,

We apologize for the miscommunication regarding the contents included within the Eon Bundle.

We’ve identified the players who have claimed the Eon bundle and are going to grant those players the following:

  • 2,000 V-Bucks (If Save the World is already owned)
  • Access to Save the World (If Save the World was not already owned)

We will begin these grants with the release of v7.20 and will take several hours to complete and will continuously roll these grants out for players who have purchased the Eon Bundle.

Thank you for your patience!

Hey everyone,

I made a comment on another thread regarding performance. The team is aware that this is occurring and we're trying to narrow down where the outliers are. We know it's rough and we're working to get this resolved.

Hey everyone,

We know that console performance has been a lingering issue and we're digging into each of the videos that we've seen to identify where this drop is coming from. It appears to be server focused from what we've been able to pinpoint so far. Performance is definitely important to us and we're looking into ways we can make improvements to prevent hitches like this one from occurring further.

Storm King pin will be extended due to poor wording /s

We noticed an increase in players who met all of the requirements but didn't have 2FA enabled. We reached out to those players via email and wanted to give them enough time to properly enable 2FA.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to address some confusion going around regarding the Storm King pin promo. Below are the requirements that each player must meet before being eligible for the pin:

  • All players must have completed the “Stand and Fight” campaign and have defeated the Storm King on or before January 1st, 2019 in order to be eligible.

  • You must have a linked Epic Games account with a valid email address. Instru...

With the holidays wrapped up, Epic staff back in the offices, and 7.x in full swing, I was thinking it's time for a bit of an update on things to come. We know the Hero System is looming on the horizon, but maybe we can start getting a bit more concrete details or general release timeframe?

This is by no means a rant or complaint, just hoping to generate some communication on things to come from the dev team.

Hey u/blueruckus! I hope you had a great holiday. We're still getting caught up so I don't have a ETA for you on an updated roadmap just yet. I'll touch base with the team and see if we can get something together for everyone.

Regarding the Hero System.. I'm currently putting the write up together that we will share out once that system is a closer to launching. We still have a few things to finalize and lock down but fear not.. it isn't that far out :)

Definitely an awesome accomplishment. This is so satisfying to see! Congrats!

Thank you for sharing! And thank you to those who removed the UI and shared it with everyone.

The team worked extremely hard on these Homebase locations. There is so much detail and life in each of these scenes.

your crosshair will appear as for a weapon you've used when the passive ended for the first time in the game. Many times I've been struggling having a pickaxe/shotgun crosshair for the entire game. What's worse is the fact that it won't get smaller if you zoom your weapon. Also, if you weapon breaks, you will lose the crosshair entirely.

What's also annoying is the fact that the ammo count will appear for the same weapon you had while losing the passive ability. So if pickaxe/melee, you won't see the clip ammo.

Hey there! We have this issue listed on our Official Trello Board. The Hero team is working on getting this bug resolved.

Thanks for sharing this /u/CatstructorPenny. I know it's extremely frustrating to be put in these situations. We are digging back into some of these performance based issues on consoles.

I will also send this over to the QA team to investigate the use of Going Commando + Lefty and Righty to see if there are any ability based timing bugs.

This guide is extremely helpful for players both new and old. Thank you so much for putting this together and sharing it with the Community!

Its a pain in the ass seeing patch notes for both modes but only one mode gets stuff on patch day whereas we have to wait around.

Either wait to announce this stuff until later in the week or change the weekly reset day to patch day.

Hey everyone. I hope everyone had a great time with Frostnite over the holidays! I definitely apologize for the confusion regarding the timing of the Frostnite Challenges. Our first challenge will begin tonight, along with the store rotation. (7pm EST)
