When I played in April, the game wasn't the most stable thing, to be honest... it would crash pretty frequently after playing for a while. Don't know if there have been any updates since then that have improved it. It also doesn't have a ps5 dedicated version, which I don't even know if it would help, but I would like one in the future for sure. It is still definitely worth it, and it became an all-time favorite of mine!

A dedicated version is in production at the moment.

They've never said no to more Pathfinder in the future. They've only said 2E doesn't interest them.

We've never excluded a possibility for more PF games indeed. 40k is in the spotlight right now, but that doesn't mean we've suddenly lost our love for Pathfinder :) Time will tell. Don't take it as confirmation of any sort though, it is simply thoughts on the matter. As for 1E and 2E, it's more about having so much finished groundwork for 1E which would become obsolete if switching the ruleset, rather than some specific prejudice against 2E.

Are you aware that updates 1.16 / 1.17 have pretty much ruined the game on Playstation?

I've timed things on PS5 (so SSD). "Quick" save takes ~65s with the game locked up for ~50s. An area transition with an autosave takes as long or longer with the added bonus that the game is liable to crash before the area transition is complete so that we get to do it all over again.

Kingmaker had an option to increase the number of quick save slots and to disable autosaves. Can we have the same thing in WotR, please? Slow saving interferes destructively with slow loading for a truly awful user experience.

I don't like being curmudgeonly, but when you put out updates that - basically - soil the sheets, you need to take a long, hard look at your process.

God knows what things are like on the PS4.

Hello! The team's aware of the saving time increase introduced after a switch to the new Unity version in the last update. It is being investigated at the moment, hoping to address it soon.

Only PS5? Not for SX? That would be a big bummer for me, I hope you just forgot SX to mention :D

But good to know that photo mode will come some day.

So far the focus is on development of the PS5 build. Once it's done, we'll see what can be done with xbox.

One year later and lot of issues are left to fix. It's a shame for that great game. Hopefully it will be fixed. Someday...

PS5 version is undergoing testing at the moment. As for photo mode, we are waiting to see the performance and stability on this version first. The mode is a huge toll on memory, and we have to be sure it functions well. It's of little use without the updated textures, either way.

Oh, I don’t want spoilers. But an approximate release date would be nice. :)

We'll announce it once we're ready, sadly I can't give that ahead of time :)

That would be surprising to hear they specifically unbalanced the paths. I dunno, maybe u/OwlcatStarrok can shed some light on their intentions?

There was never an intention to make all mythic paths equal. Each of them should give an epic feel and must be able to complete the game, but that's it.

It's pretty far in development at the moment. If you wish to know things ahead of time (beware for spoilers and unfinished content), I'm certain that dataminers such as u/ranadiel can help you :)

Sorry for the delay. We know it takes longer than usual, but hopefully you guys will enjoy the result.

Any estimation on when we can expect an update?

It's running through the final phases of testing. Technically, it's ready, even the patchnotes are written, but switching to a new version of the Unity engine is a delicate process, so the team's busy scrupulously checking every bit of the game at the moment.

This has now been answered almost a year ago, any timeline or update when Mythic Armor Focus feats will be coming into the game?

Most likely the big patch that will come with, or shortly before, DLC5.

Yep! I found it last night when saving/loading the game and submitted the report.

Thank you, any text you remember from the ticket that will help me to find it in the database?

I am stuck in Act 4. I cannot enter the Harem of Ardent Dreams, after giving Storyteller the crystal. There are no guards outside the Harem (I killed them) and when I click on the entrance symbol, nothing happens. Due to not being able to progress this quest, I also cannot earn enough infamy to progress the main Act 4 quest.

I am on PS4 so any suggestions to use a mod will be meaningless. I can see from previous threads all over the internet that this is a known bug on PC, but am wondering if there is any fix on consoles because if not I've just wasted over 50 hours of my life.

Hello, did you use the bug report function?

Yes, no additional fee is expected for the upgrade.

But now that you're here, why not share some insight with us?

If you mean lorewise, that probably makes sense, but it's more of a speculation. No specific list of 'lore power' for mythic paths exists.

Gameplay-wise, things may vary so wildly depending on class/mythic combination, that it's really hard to say who's more 'powerful' as a whole. There was no specific purpose to have any 'ladder of power' during development or balance them between themselves, only to make all mythics fun to play and to be able to beat the game.

The devs have already stated that the Swarm is stronger than all other Mythic Paths combined... i think people forget that as the Swarm you are not only the KC and the party but also the entire Crusade , The Swarm solos the entirety of the Demonic Horde- armies and Demon Lords combined, it's a world ending threat... All other Paths need not only an elite party but also an entire army, along with all kinds of allies and supporters, the Swarm needs nothing - it's just food to it. As a bonus Iomedae tries to kill you and fails- the Swarm is the only path that survives and thrives after being attack by an actual God.

I don't know why people are so obssesed with Trickster's pranks... it's mostly jokes and glorified Polymorphs... While Aeon is merely a servant that may only use his time travel as long as he follows his orders and never to his benefit.

We did? :O

Hello. An important note - unfortunately Owlcat Games no longer owns the rights for Pathfinder: Kingmaker, so our support will not be able to help you. There will also be no further updates for the game. On PC, it's partially negated by an abundance of mods, but on console if you're facing an issue that blocks your playthrough, the only method is to load an older save or try searching for a workaround on the internet. Sorry.

I assume whatever company made the Spyware just offered Owlcat a bunch of money to include it?

I assume whatever company made the Spyware just offered Owlcat a bunch of money to include it?

For the love of God no.

I already explained it earlier but I'll repeat, the purpose was pretty open and simple - this app would allow us to compare the data on the amount of launches of the game with the data from our marketing campaigns (sales, banners etc.) to see where we spend budget effectively, and where we waste money.

Given the game is almost 2 years old, the more effectively we are able to manage its budget, the longer its support will last and more we are able to spend on the actual development.

We hoped that being open about the introduction of the software and explanation about its purpose would be enough, but our delivery of information was far from perfect, and we severely underestimated the level of frustration and suspicion caused by what people legitimately considered an invasion of privacy. Unusually large pa...
