Deaths Dance seems pretty much always incredible.

Correct, which is why it is important to make the distinction from the commenter I am replying to who called it “lifesteal”. These are two totally different things, and grouping them up in the same boat is really bad when talking about balance.

I feel that.

Funny enough, if she actually indexed into the keyword “life steal”, she wouldn’t have healed this much. She simply has healing from items and runes.

I mean she specifically picked each of the things that heal her.

"Life steal" works when you're a consistent auto-attacker like Kalista. It's pretty much non-functional on most non-marksmen.

More MarkZ content, Travis, hurry up. I don't see him enough in my life already.

Christian is an INCREDIBLY awesome dude.

I've also wasted his time more than once by making him write the German subtitles for Champion Spotlights way back in the day if, for whatever reason, the script wasn't done in time to get it through the normal localization process.

That same line was delivered to us in like... idk 2018? 2017? 2019? when we (Riot in general) were screened the first episode of the show long, long before the show was done.

Something like, "I know we've been talking about Arcane off and on for a couple years and now that I have you all here I want to let you know we're not going to fund a season of Arcane. We're going to fund multiple. Anyway here's the pilot. Enjoy."

The list is subjective, but top 10 is definitely not a freebie. At best he can slip in at 9th or 10th, but I feel like he's more like top 15.

Obviously his legacy is still being written unlike some of the players on that list, so he could theoretically reach top 10 if things go well.

Fair enough.

  8. Voyboy
  9. Broken Blade
  10. Hauntzer
  11. Darshan
  12. Flame
  13. Ray

Voy, Flame, and Ray? Nah

Solo went to Worlds and made back-to-back finals on FlyQuest.

He's not top 5. But top 10 is a freebie.

I do. It’s great. I love the LCS team. They’re great to be around.

It has nothing to do with fake vendetta, you idiot. It has entirely to do with you childishly namecalling people on stream like an immature idiot. Do you really think it's acceptable or in any way professional for you to call someone "an idiot" on live broadcast? How would you feel if a player went on the analyst desk and called you an idiot?

If I did something really idiotic? I'd laugh along with them.

Might be just me, but it really feels like Phreak criticizes Fudge far more than anyone else. He really really harps on his mistakes.

I am prolly gonna stop watching games he casts of Fudge. It could be all in my head, but I swear whenever he does he insults Fudge in some way, although this was the most blatant one yet.

His top lane return debut was 1v9 on Fiora and I did nothing but praise how hard he tried to keep his team in the game.

Yeah I think if the phrase was, "...Just press tab, bro!" this thread wouldn't exist and the joke would be nearly identical.

Those "casters" in that first clip are ex-professional players, and didn't start their career watching from the sidelines like Phreak did. Phreak has never been at the level of the players he's vehemently bashing for fun, but you can go ahead and jump through as many mental hoops as you want to show how uneducated you are.

"So, you can go ahead and apologize for having no idea what you're talking about."

Try more than just a google search to try and prove you're right. just because you can type a sentence into a search engine doesn't mean you're correct when you don't even understand the context you presented. K?

I've literally been rank 1 and won League tournaments before most of these players even touched the game lmao. I've played at world championships in multiple different games.

You can go ahead and apologize for having no idea what you're talking about.

For what it's worth, this was meant mostly as a joke. I respect Fudge greatly as a player but this was definitely an int.

Should I have chose different wording? I'm not sure. I feel like most people would laugh alongside and not invent some fake "Phreak hates Fudge" vendetta.

I think the version I'd use in retrospect is just "... will die."

IDK in like three months I'll use it again for the Worlds semifinals or something. Just don't call me out for reusing once we get there.

You guys f-ed up and should at least try to fix your mistakes.

Besides, a "bad champion only good in low MMR", is miles better than "hey we made this champion really broken for a while because we wanted to fix him, you guys wouldnt mind losing your LP to him or having to permaban him would you?"

His numbers should clearly be tuned downward. I just feel like this balance state existing for 0.1% of League’s lifetime is just not that big of a deal.

Damn man, Vayne is a balance nightmare am I right? She even turns invisible!

Let me tell you guys a little secret.. “Balance teams” job is not to actually make every champ 50% w/r perfectly balanced..

It’s to shake up the meta. That is what “balance” actually is. They nerf and buff stuff even when they don’t need it. Just to shake up the meta.

This is also why we have huge updates.. like runes and item overhaul, dragon changes, why they let damage be so high for so long. The point is an ever changing game, with an ever changing meta. Not some “balanced” game where everything is in a balanced state and all champs are equally powerful.

I think there is a core component missing here. They also have the ability to affect overall game health in positive ways.

For example, how many people became AP Twitch mains once that build became viable? The balance wasn’t hit perfectly the first time, sure, but AP Twitch is practically a new champion and all it took was adding an AP ratio somewhere.

Master Yi has, for his entire lifetime, been a low-MMR stomper. So he has to be garbage for everyone above platinum and simultaneously too good for anyone below gold. So what do you do? Well, a really good option is to keep adding skill-expressive ways to fight other than “I hit R and right clicked you.” Were the numbers right the first time? Certainly not. But League has been out for almost thirteen years. Him being OP for a couple days is a reasonable price for attempting to fix MMR skew.
