Absolutely f**king ridiculous from Riot here

This seems like a great idea for the next marksman

Captain Gameplay did some great work on all 4 of these (he's making their spells). It's been fun working on Jinx again :3

We’d likely keep him the same gameplay wise, but update his model and animations (he’s already way different than league voli tbh).

We’d then rework him to be more like new volibear if he ever appeared in a future TFT set (we plan to roatate entire champion sets every few months)

I made the decision to not put wolf in.

While the League champion Kindred is 2 halves of a whole, the Lamb in TFT does nothing that involves wolf (she ults and shoots arrows). He would have created a ton of extra VFX noise without any gameplay benefit.

Fight clarity is something we've been working hard to improve in TFT and it took precedence over preserving League lore. Likewise, you'll notice Lulu is missing her buddy Pix.

Long term, if we have more time to polish spells that don't have immediate gameplay needs, would likely look to put wolf into Kindred's ult (he could fly around the edge of the circle).

What is the most "balanced" game?

A) One where all champions are at 50% winrate but "feel" poorly tuned.

B) One where certain champions are statistically too strong or too weak but "feel" balanced.

Clearly balance is more nuanced and complex than this, but the point I'm trying to make is that winrate isn't the only thing to consider. Things like perception of power and different levels of player skill take major parts in a how balanced a game feels.

Part of treating this like a Real Grown Up Game Mode means we'll support it with cool metagame features. That includes ranked. You can expect to see the ranked for TFT start up around patch 9.14. At that point, we should be in a good spot with bugs and initial game balance.

So ranked will be out for this new game mode in 3 patches?

That escalated quickly

As a dev I get a headstart. I'm already Iron 4 and it only costs 200 RP to "unlock" my next rank!

Interesting

I too can't wait to finally get of ELO Hell and place Master in a League of Legends product.

OMG I'M SO HYPED. Have been helping with spell design and the game is a lot of fun!
