I thought about removing the bats, but they're pretty iconic, and I thought players wouldn't really like them gone. I did reduce how many bats spawn though, so it should feel a little less overwhelming.

You know, I did try a clock-type effect under her feet for her ultimate, but it always felt weird, no matter what I tried. I just couldn't make it feel "Vayne" for the scope of this update.

Hello everyone!

Similar to the previous VFX updates we’ve made in the past (Syndra, Zilean, Malzahar, etc), we're working on updates to the Visual Effects (VFX) of champions whose spell effects are in need of some love. Our aim is to get their VFXs to current League standards and improve gameplay clarity. This time, it's Vayne's turn, for 12.2's PBE Patch! To note: this one particular VFX Update is of a smaller scale, as Vayne does not have a ton of VFX opportunities in her kit. We have mainly focused on cleaning up and modernizing her kit, removing some of the old noise that was present.

There is an effect! I tried to keep it at the same level as before the update, so it still won't be a huge explosion. But it should at least be noticeable. :)

In case of his base skin, I REALLY love that you tinted the colors towards purple, some people like reds more but I think purple-ish tones fit Varus better and make the abilities far more pleasing to look at. The one thing I wanted to ask - I wondered if it's possible to change the W blight stacks? Or at least slown down their animation a bit! Varus has been my main since day 1 & and you are definitely my favorite VFX artist in Riot, so I just wanted to say how happy and thankful I am for this (Hopefully he'll get an adequate VO soon, but I know that has nothing to do with you).

I do have a small feedback I'd like to mention.
From what I see in the video, Darkstar Varus' E now leaves arrows in the ground, which is a bit strange considering he doesn't actually fire arrows, but rather some kind of comets. Maybe craters or something would be better, or just... removing the arrows.
Also, in the Arctic Ops one, I always liked that his Q looked more like and actual, physical arrow rather than a pure energy one, since it seems to fit the skin better. Anyway, I understand if it's easier to just change that.

Feedback:

On Base, Blight Crystal and Arclight, the ultimate has an indicator on the ground that clarifies the hitbox, but on all subsequent skins it's missing. I think it helps a lot clarity-wise, so it'd be better if it stayed on all skins (with some minor coloring for each).

On Dark Star and Infernal, the circle that appears around the enemy after hitting the ult is just the old yellow-ish circle, while all other skins use the new, prettier one.

On Project, the hitbox ground indicator for the Q arrow is there, but I feel like it could be a bit brighter to be seen in gameplay.
