I'm not too sure if this is what you're looking for, would it be helpful if I provide the file anyways?

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X GPU: Palit Gamerock OC 3080 (LHR I believe if it matters) Drivers: 522.25 (Latest Game Ready Driver)

I'll get the file once I'm back at my PC and upload it if needed.

If you experience that slow down again, send me that file. Even if it’s a different issue, it still might be useful.

Because we can't clearly identify this particular type of performance degradation from our data. So we need to talk to people who are experiencing it in order to collect enough data to isolate the cause.

One thing someone told me that worked for them was disabling multithreading on their CPU. From what Im seeing in the comments a lot of the specs use ryzen 2600s. Weird thing is this didnt happen previously and started happening 6 months ago. Mine happens consistently at minute 6-8 and stops mid game basicaly

Yup. That's the bug I'm chasing. And I suspect its AMD specific (might not be their fault, but it is evident on their HW).

Can you give an example of this with expected fps?

It doesn't necessarily show up as a visible FPS value being low as the FPS calculation is an average over a few seconds so even quite frequent spikes can missed due to the averaging process. This problem feels really bad, quite choppy as not every frame is bad, but just enough are bad enough to make it feel bad.

At least that's from the feedback I've had and from the few RPDs that show the issue.

Thanks for the RPD file!

It doesn't look like you're experiencing the issue I'm looking for here, but here's what I saw in that game. You started with a decent frame rate (144+) for the first couple of minutes, stuck at around 100fps with drops to 80fps at points (probably team fights). What is odd is that your CPU load is quite high throughout the game, running at around 70% (up to 100% at times). It should be half that.

Did you have anything else running on your system at the same time?

RPD file? From game played a few hours ago

Thank you for that RPD.

The issue you're having is a separate one. You're running at about 60fps for most of the game, with slowdowns to around 20fps. Your CPU load is constantly around 70%, occasionally hitting 100%.
Your GPU is doing OK, but your CPU is really struggling.

Which is not surprising because your system is below the minimum spec - we recommend at least an i3-530 (2.93GHz). Sorry. Time to upgrade?

No. That's something completely different. What I'm looking for here is a sustained slowdown after about 5 minutes, for a number of minutes.

If you have google drive or drop box you could just share from that.

I wasn't game to post a private link that others could put stuff in to:)

Does anyone have any suggestions on a good way to anonymously do this?

That would be really interesting to see what the root cause/fix is.

Thanks.

Absolutely.

Let me guess a streamer cried about it ? Anyways ...

Sweet and short

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600

GPU: RX 580

GPU driver: Recent

Reproduction: It happens every game starts around 7-10 min when the buffs are about to respawn.

Overlays:no

DX9: Did not make a difference

Turning off SMT/Hyperthreading made it 2x times worse so i keep it on.

RPD File

Hopefully u finally fix it (☞゚ヮ゚)☞

Awesome! An RPD! Thanks!

I had a look at that and there is no unusual slow down in that game. Maybe your last game was ok?

There is a slight slowdown at the start due to focus being away from the game, but the rest of the game is running at around 7ms per frame (around 144fps) with the occasional drop to 10ms (100fps).

Which microsoft has broken on and off over time, so maybe check with them 👀

edit: yeah, looks like microsoft screwed ryzen again. or someone did. Someone says process lasso (only physical cores, only single core cluster/CCD) fixes it, which also worked for me years ago.

Currently using an R5 3600 with windows 10 enterprise LTS 2021, and have not experienced this issue since, including this patch.

Yeah. I suspect its a third party issue, but in order to work with the responsible parties need to be able to provide a repro. Which is tricky.

No thanks. Monitor/display shouldn't have any relevance to this issue.

Always this. If are running 2 monitors with windows mode you'll get janky ass phantom "alt-tabs" where you're still in game with mega FPS drops

Do you mean that when you change focus from the game to another window, the frame rate tanks?
If so, then that is by design.

You can fix that by adding MillisecondsToSleepWhileSuspended=0
to the [General] section of your game.cfg file (found in League of Legends/Config/game.cfg)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six core

GPU: NVIDIA Gtx 1650

GPU driver version: Latest versions for the past 6 months

Reproduction rate: Every game around the 9-10 min mark lasting until around 25 mins.

Overlays: None I used to run blitz but I don't anymore.

I haven't played a game in awhile (2 weeks or so) or I would include logs but hope this helps some!

Thanks for your info. Even if the game is 2 weeks old the rpd file would be useful.

We (Riot Devs) are aware that some Players are experiencing a bug where the frame rate of League or TFT drops suddenly somewhere between the 5 to 10 minute mark and stays low or erratic for about 5 minutes or so. We have been unable to reproduce this issue internally, so we’re reaching out to you, the players, directly to try and identify the cause of this issue.

If you are experiencing these symptoms, please respond with details in the following format;

  • GPU:
  • GPU driver version:
  • Reproduction rate: (eg every game or once every 10 games)

Optionally (you don’t have to do these, but this information may help)

  • What overlays are you running (Blitz etc)?
  • Did running the game in DX9 mode help? (You can do this via settings/Game/Prefer DX9 Legacy Mode)

Does running in Legacy DX9 Mode make a difference?

(From the client, choose settings/Game/"Prefer Legacy DX9 Mode" )

Note, this is not a fix, this is for me to better understand possible root causes.

Sorry. Missed that bit.

So, after you have played a game where you've experienced that slow down, can you send me the .RPD file found in "Riot Games\League of Legends\Logs"? You can DM me a link to it if you like. The RPD file will give me detailed information about the performance of your last game.

I'm sure this problem is CPU related.
It's just on League

Can you try the 22.9.2 drivers? AMD have been having issues with DX11 for a few driver versions. Even Epic has been recommending downgrading to 22.2.2 to fix issues in Fortnite (see here: https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/epic-games-store-c5719341124379/launcher-support-c5719357217435/rolling-back-amd-drivers-a6845503685403).

If 22.9.2 doesn't work, then the next step is to try 22.2.2

Let me know how you go.

Unfortunately, the bug is still on and it's been many update patchs since the first complain about it and Riot haven't fixed it yet.

I did an update. I had an RX 480, now an RTX 3060TI and still the same problem :p Ty riot games.

Hey umbrofer. What's the driver version for your GPU? There have been some reports of DX11 performance issues with some AMD drivers.
