Definitely weird, since the game and Beta should show as separate Steam apps… regardless, glad it was fixed, and thanks for the info! Might help someone else.

The regions that are unable to play the game are locked because we do not have the legal rights to publish the game in those areas from Smilegate RPG. Since SGR is the primary owner of the game, our partnership only allows us to publish in areas they have given us legal permission to.

I know it seems simple, but have you tried restarting/relogging into Steam or your computer? Pre-load is available for everyone, not just those that have purchased Founder’s Packs.

Localization, translation, and dubbing takes a massive amount of time (there are around 3 million words of text in-game alone), and we were only able to obtain and announce rights to South America last November: November Team Update: New Countries Added - News | Lost Ark - Free to Play MMO Action RPG

I don’t think whether Head Start is happening was ever in question; while it will take some time to decrypt the game on launch due to Steam-side processes (which is a separate topic), it starts tomorrow at 9 AM PT and that is not changing. If you have purchased a Founder’s Pack, you will be able to play at this time.

This is what I have received from Valve about their decryption process: “Decryption is an active process on the user’s machine. The time it takes to decrypt the game has a large degree of variability depending on the total size of the game, the customer’s CPU capabilities, and the customer’s disk I/O speed. Customers with top-of-the line systems will likely be able to start the game within a few minutes. Customers with older/slower machines will take longer.”

We have received an answer directly from Valve:

Right now there is not regional pricing in the in-game shop

While I apologize for the confusion, nothing has been reverted and we will not be patching the game before Head Start in 15 hours; this was erroneously included in the patch notes and has been removed since it is not in our launch build.

They do not have time limits, so you can definitely use them when you prefer

Yes, this means that the progression pathway to T3 will not be accelerated outright at launch as it currently is in other regions.
