Appreciate how well crafted this feedback is. We are looking at a couple of the more painful bot measures that impact players and evaluating their impact against bots vs their impact on players as we continue to ban bots and get a better handle on the overall situation. No decisions for removals have been made yet, but I wanted to make sure you know its definitely something we are evaluating and will be willing to reevaluate in the future if needed.
So many good posts here! I’ve liked a bunch but I want to like every… single one. I didn’t end up making my Artist last night because I couldn’t decide, but I think I have two potential designs in mind. Maybe I’ll give em both a go and let y’all make the last choice for me??
I understand the distaste for it but the Trusted System has been highly effective, especially since its last update. It creates a gate for new bot accounts (and for bots which are designed to generate profit, a monetary gate for them is very significant). We’ve seen a significant decrease in the creation of new bot accounts since its update versus the months prior.
This title made me laugh because I had the exact same thought of “artist is just thresh” last night. Not the same experience as OPs original lament, but our Artist was literally spamming portals in our challenge guardians to the point where myself and my other friend were just competing over who could take them first 
definitely gives off thresh lantern vibes.
Anyway, I definitely understand the feeling that they’re pretty situational so far, but I do like taking the free shield and I feel like they’ve given me quite a few opportunities to reposition when they’re placed nicely

Yes, there was an additional bot bash that rolled out this week, spread across all regions.

It’s no surprise that the Artist class has been taking Lost Ark by storm since the Art of War update! Now that it’s been a full week since release, I want to see your best screenshots of your Artists! Share whatever your most enjoyed aspect of the class has been, whether it’s your character design, insane push to 1500+ in one week, a clip of your best play so far (a clip is just a lot of screenshots in a row technically, right?), or anything else you can think of.

Closing this topic as it was very clearly started with the intention of being inflammatory towards others. Yes, there are a lot of supports and Artists in the game right now. People are excited to play the new class and are coming back to the game for it. They won’t be 100% geared right away, but truly, y’all should be EXCITED that people are eager to get into Lost Ark and experience the game that you all play so much. I will never understand why some folks want to gatekeep the thing they love from others – this is an MMO, a MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER online game, and you should be excited to share it with those who are excited to play.

Bot bashes are continual, and have not stopped. We do not post about every single one (and actually post about very few) as we do not want botters to know when they are coming, the frequency, or use this information to counter them in any way. You may have noticed a couple weeks past there was a drop off in bots which was in no small part due to these efforts, but with the release of Artist and the last update they are coming back into the game and their visibility is higher again. We are continuing to counter them with new bot bash logic as this occurs, but again, can’t provide details into what these exact methods are so that they can’t be reverse engineered by botters.
As we make improvements and the situation falls under better control, we would like to be more open about the efforts that have been rolling out. While this is a definite goal we have in mind, we don’t want to jump the gun by sharing anything too early, either.
We’ve brought this back up for internal discussion following recent bot bashes and the lower (although still heavily fluctuating) number of bots back in-game. We are reevaluating it’s effectiveness, and will decide if the restriction is something we can potentially loosen or will leave as is and need to revisit again in the future. I cannot yet guarantee any change, but discussions are happening as we know this is not a bot mitigation tactic that players enjoy by any means.
Region merges are not something that have taken place before, which means entirely new tech to accomplish this needs to be developed and tested. The last update I have on this was that it was being explored and worked on, but I do not currently have any further information in terms of ETA or potential future availability.
