Taiwan has a separate publisher for the game that is not Amazon; we do not have rights to publish there either. We are not the owners of Lost Ark, Smilegate RPG is, so we can only publish in regions that we have been given the rights to, and are not approved to publish the game elsewhere. No – a number of those have been straight up removed when they are entirely and overtly toxic, actually. Unlisting allowed for the early converstations that were being constructive and productive to remain in the system. Again, there is another thread about Steam reviews on today’s “top” page, so it has nothing to do with the topic of the thread as you’re suggesting: Just checked the steam rating on Lost Ark
I nuked about 30+ comments worth of rule-breaking and offensive arguments between players, and it had derailed significantly. At that point, it is not worth the time required to keep up a thread that is consistently needing moderation and no longer being productive in any way, hence it being unlisted and not removed. There is another thread about Steam reviews that is still up, because it has not had that issue.
Unfortunately we don’t have publishing rights in Korea, so we are not supposed to allow players from regions where we do not have rights into the game. Those rights for the Korean version of the game belong to Smilegate RPG and their client. I apologize!
Obscene amounts of bot bans and blocks are happening again. The team has not ceased fire and the battle rages on
I don’t have eyes on how SGR is allocating all their engineers and devs on a one to one basis, but in my experience in game dev generally there are a number of various team members that have different specialties. For example, I can confirm that bots and anti-cheat systems are a top priority, but that doesn’t mean 100% of the team is working on this, and even if they were it likely wouldn’t be effective. There will always be other folks and teams working on future updates, builds, bugs, etc.
We’ve rolled some more stuff out today, can confirm bots are being culled ‘n’ kicked – it’s just another day’s battle in the ongoing war
We don’t have merchandising rights unfortunately, but we’d definitely love to get more of the goodies out to players if we have the opportunity to

Weekly maintenance happens every week, generally with an estimated downtime of about 4 hours for all back end maintenance and configuration (though the servers often come up earlier than that). This occurs each week, regardless of how many player facing changes or bug fixes are included.
I am on the same page and prefer it that way 100% of the time, however when I have a choice to make between communicating or not communicating something I will choose to let players know what I can

Unfortunately I was not given additional details, outside of honing rates and progression being a difficult system to balance, and that it would come in the future. I can push for more information on this and see if there is more to share, but I also wanted to let players know as soon as possible what to expect despite not having a “why” ready to go.
