Not that i'm aware of, there hasn't been any network related issues for a long time. All the connection timed out errors popping up here are actually broken local saves (hence the error message will say something different in 9.0) or issues with the local network we have no influence on.

And in regards to the OP:
We generally never recommend to play on after a major update. It's still early access and we may have breaking changes at any time, but we keep them limited to major updates. No matter that, you can always go on playing with your old world by changing the branch to the older version (we keep them for one major ve... Read more

No reason for a full quote, partly quote without support issue at the end.

As has been repeated countless times, we simply have not set a release date yet and are not going to do any more estimates as long as we're being nailed down on them being a announced release date despite stating that they are not. This just causes even more unhappiness, the type that actually affects us as well. We're not happy with the situation either, but we see good progress in our playtests.

We've chosen to rework big parts of backend to fix mistakes that have been made in earlier development. This was required to actually improve performance and it is also required to move over to a monthly release cycle for future updates. We didn't have much choice. If we were to release 9.0 in smaller parts there wouldn't have been chances to fix performance at all as the underlying changes break stuff massively. You'd not be any happier than waiting.

Additionally, we are a small team. ... Read more

That's true for some of the new pollutants, but not for that one.

I made a similar complaint not too long ago and the response was basically “play on public servers with more people”.

All they need to do is add in resource sliders to change the game for smaller collab groups. The game is obviously directed towards big groups and collaboration while small groups just have to grind.

The thing that bugs me is that the resources you need are the same, regardless of your group sizes (with the exception of food). That means the logistics needs are exactly the same as well which makes 5 or fewer games massively tedious.

We added that "resource slider", and a "crafting time slider" on top!

Eco is about a collaborative playstyle in a society, it's best played on public servers and developed with that in mind - hence the addition of labour. Of course you can play solo or in small groups, but you will need to adapt the configs we deliver to do exactly that. It's impossible to have a default option for every possible playstyle. We have a lot of people that play solo without changing anything, being fully fine with the "grind".

It's both the correct answer and a little pun :)
Boats are coming in a future update, we've sneak-previewed one in one of the streams.
But for now you have the option of either building a bridge or - swimming.

Just to finish this off:
Yes, what you wrote is offending. Maybe not to you, but to others.

You've been negatively standing out with that kind of ridiculous and sarcastic answers for a while now. This is a community forums, the purpose is to help other people and not to make fun of them, be sarcastic, make ridiculous statements or other unhelpful behaviour. If you want to help - feel free to do so, with clear and helpful answers.

If you want to be sarcastic, make fun of someone or put down another ridiculous statement - keep it to yourself and close the page, we don't need that here.

It's been so obvious he wanted a more in-depth explanation that you need to be missing any common sense or politeness to use a reasoning like you did for such an answer.

No, that's not possible and never will be as we'd never transfer items by magic.

You can't, it's our fault. Hopefully fixed with 9.0.

You can't, it's been disabled for the current version due to a Unity bug causing crashes with Fullscreen.

Are you trying to sell something at the same time? "Source Inventory" full means the store owner can not store anything anymore.

Hey all, as we work down the home stretch of big-fixing and optimizations for 9.0, I wanted to talk more about the law system in the game and how it’s expanded and will support much of the future progress of Eco.

As always, let's start with the overview over our Eco Update 9.0 Blogs:

I'm not sure what you mean.
Do you want to add a tax on items? Use the sales tax.
Do you want to tax away items instead of money? You can't do that.

Ask your parents to buy you things you need, 5y.o. should not bother with old people things and/or money.

Come on, that's really not needed. If i read similar stuff from you again, you'll get a warning.
