There is many possible causes for performance degradation, it's not some single issue that could be easily fixed. We provide a developer build for users with that issue that they can use to give us the necessary data to find the cause for their specific problem, see this copied from Discord:

We have prepared a development build allowing to collect diagnosis data about performance issues for WT players.

If you have any sort of FPS issues and want to help getting those fixed, you can now switch to branch "release_dev" in Steam by right clicking Eco -> Properties -> Betas -> Select branch from dropdown. The branch is compatible to join any servers on the current release version and enables you to provide the data we need. You cannot get this data on the regular release version - reports from there can't be taken.

Please read the following careful - reports that do not contain all necessary information unfortunate...

The version was available on the default branch and the steam branch "10.1.4" since the announcement, as always. You may need to restart Steam to be able to see it.

Hey Citizens,
we have just released Hotfix 10.1.4 to address the following issues:

Civics:
  • Fixed: In specific circumstances annexation didn't work due not consuming the necessary resources.
  • Fixed: When a bank account on a bank was destroyed due to the linked settlement dissolving, its owner received double the amount of currency they had on the bank account to their personal account.
  • Fixed: Joining a settlement by placing a homestead with the respective option enabled was not possible when foreign property ownership was disallowed in the immigration policy.
  • Improved: When a deed has more claimed plots than claim papers supporting them, there is now a timer counting down before unsupported plots will be removed.
  • Improved: The error notification when an annexation fails due to not consuming the necessary resources was made more helpful.

We're going to evaluate the usefulness of the trawler for next update - when outside of an area where there is actual physical fish it only has a random chance to catch fish (that technically doesn't exist, but only catching fish where there is physical fish would be very unsatisfying), alike to to fish traps.

Rename your current install to \Eco2, download the new server into \Eco, then copy over the configs and storage directory from \Eco2 to \Eco, without overwriting the configs when asked, so the templates of the new server stay.

Removed for rule 4 - the post solely serves as information about a server, people being given the join details in the comments. No actual help of any kind was requested that could be given via reddit itself - hence classified a try to circumvent rule 4.

I'm not seeing the bug. Pictures will cap their culture to the lower of the artists' and the pictures' reputation. Means, you need an artist that has very high personal reputation to reach this _and_ a picture that has very high reputation. A Magnum Opus, after all.

Download the new server and move over your configs (without overwrite, to not override the templates) and storage directory from the old, then start the new one. Monzuns approach can leave files around that should be gone, which can include the web directory and is generally more time costly.

You just need to pay a tax of 1000 or more currency at once (!) in a backed currency (e.g. one made at the mint).

Also they do not let people build dirt roads on their planned street districts. That means like in the first 5-6 days you have to build alternate roads outside of the planned grid. By that point nobody needed the planned streets. They were actually more of a hindrance.

That's not insane but average european taxing, especially given endgame recipes need to be funded - next to other countless projects WT has. Sales tax doesn't apply to flying traders without skills at all. Everyone gets universal basic income that is untaxable. Also, you are free to try reaching the goal with lower taxes by going into politics - they are not set by the administration. Insane taxation much rather applies to groups with lots of differing skills, but that's the point of the system.

Only N-S and W-E highways are pre-districted and need the respective title from the Federal Government to work on them. This cycle they don't exist though, as winning the domination victory led to the winner choosing them being replaced with boat canals for this cycle as the victory reward.

The obvious is Minecraft servers with economics, factions, and governance mods. There is less progression and more creativity, but it hits similar notes especially when a server is reset for a new version.

That's where I came from to Eco, though you missed the ecology mods.

Hello there,
this is the third megathread for server advertisements, replacing the former one.

You can post an ad for your server once per reset (or once per 30 days if you have resets that happen less frequently or do not reset at all) as a direct comment to this post - please remove your old ad when you post a new one. Alternatively you can edit your existing ad at any time. Your server MUST be on the current release version, servers with earlier versions or develop versions are not permitted.

Direct comments to this post that are not server ads or server ads that were posted again before the server has reset at least once are prohibited and will be removed without comment. Please use the report feature to report such comments.

It would be great if you took a bit of time to make a good and informative ad, you can use the template for our discord #serv...

Recycling was put on hold due to lack of player interest.
You can vote here to make it more likely to get back on the roadmap for the near future: https://eco.canny.io/feature-suggestions/p/recycling-tablebreak-down-old-items

Thanks, the issue seems to be caused by the "Continue" button refering to a singleplayer game that no longer exists. (E.g. after deleting the game you played last, for whatever reason it got deleted)

Try to remove your player.eco file. To get there, open "run" via system search and type "%UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\Strange Loop Games\Eco", which will get you directly to the location of the file. Let me know if it worked.
