As requested… here I am, posting on this thread. Sorry to say though… I don’t have an answer? The team overall doesn’t look at combat as one solid thing. There are hundreds if not more, little pieces that the team works on and adjusts over time. I think there is ALOT of information in this thread and I applaud it, but ALOT of things have changed since 2021 too. My advice would be that if anyone still does have a problem with combat, is to focus on WHICH parts of combat they are not enjoying and why. This way the team can look into it and see if they want to adjust it.

Locking this thread as this topic is finished, selling in game items for in game money is not against any rules. Therefore cannot be related to RMT which is illegal in game and handled accordingly.

Absolutely an option, to completely change things up. Hence the planning to talk to the team Monday and see where we can improve things. We don’t enjoy seeing players locked out or missing out on content.

Haha you’re not going to get banned for asking where a CM went. As it was before I started (I started in Jan, 4/5 months ago)… I honestly have no idea. Staff come and go and working through the launch of any game is extremely stressful for a team, especially CMs. So they may have just moved on to another game. Or if they were fired for any reason (which is what I assume you’re hinting to), that really is their own personal information and I even feel kinda scummy digging into it? Ya know? But I WILL tell you that staff are not fired over a single forum post.

What I’ve said there, I’ve said here and even so, the comment still stands? Many times I cannot go into extreme details when asked to which doesn’t make anyone happy. And even more same, we are all friends just hanging out chatting. I do go through and moderate where I can and ban outright trolls.

This recent maintenance/hot fix was scheduled as for disconnects, that is sadly out of our hands when servers decide to have a problem. But as mentioned above, I’ll let the team know that we need to keep looking into forms of communication and reimbursement.

When the team is back in the office, this is something I can bring up and see if there is a better way to communicate these things.

We cannot help at this time except asking you to try activating your account again and giving the system time to catch up.

Update guys! The team was able to release a fix that has reverted both cooldown and dash distance.

It wasn’t deleted, it was locked with the reason why.

You cannot link a legal action with two illegal actions and expect them all to be treated equally.

I will say this once more, selling carries and selling in game items for in game currency is legal. RMT is not legal and treated as such.

I asked a few months ago and it was really helpful for our devs! While constructive criticism is plentiful, having some ideas of things you guys are enjoying is also beneficial.

So, my question for you, what are you currently enjoying in New World?

It’s always great to hear feedback about the dev videos… good and bad! We’re still trying to find a balance of what we want these videos to be about and focus on. Some months they might shift slightly but we’re always happy to hear what you would like to have us include!
