Hello guys
The developers are currently reviewing all of the feedback from the Dev Server tests. We hope to present some additional answers and clarifications on several aspects and vehicles of the update discussed in feedback in the coming days. Stay tuned to the news
Hello
We announce dev servers on the day that they open, such as this one:
If there happens to be another opening or for future openings in later patches, we will announce it in the same place and manor
It's possible the aircraft may appear in a future update.
Sky Guardians is also named after the aircraft of the patch.
Tornado F.3 (Air Defence Variant), German MiG-29 (point defence interceptor), Yak-141 (Fleet defence) and F-16AJ (Interceptor/multirole).
Thank you for the report link. This was not included in the original post, therefore we cannot check the status of the report. I recommend a historical report, as more often than not, when people claim an issue was "reported' but don't provide a report link, it turns out the issue hasn't been, but it was simply raised in a discussion topic.
As such, if you are asking for a status request or update on a report. Please include the link like you have done here.
With regards to the reports. Both are treated as suggestions. There are no changes to them as far as I can see in this major update.
China recieved a new top fighter jet last patch with an F-16 for their tree. This update, it's the turn of the nation's that did not: UK, Germany and Japan.
Other new jets are planned for other nations, but currently, this was the only option available for Japan for several major updates until later more advanced aircraft can come.
Please feel free to submit a historical report here with your info (or on the community bug report site) and we can pass it on for the Devs to review:
https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/forum/1960-visual-model/
This will not be the case in any current plans.
The reasons for Japan receiving the F-16AJ are explained in the blog:
China has plenty of options for jet fighters and also has its own line of jet attackers, with more possible in the future. So the Tornado, F-14 and other proposals are not required to be added to China in the same way the Japanese F-16 was being added for balance.
This forum exists to forward historical related issues and suggestions to the developers.
The developers make the final decisions.
Hi guys
An update on the Ariete AMV PT1. We plan to include smoke launchers on this version of the tank. The CL3142 matter is still being discussed. But its unlikely all variants of the tank will feature both shells.
Right now, there are no plans to increase the rate of fire and this particular PT 1 variant had no protection improvements over previous variants.
Regarding the WAR and PSO kits, we are aware these are present on some PT variants and also later versions such as PT2. We have some options under consideration for future in some form. But its too early to go into details at this stage. Right now however, the form PT1 is in is the intended version to come to the game right now.
F-16AJ was a program offered to Japan that was never fully realised. The J simply denotes the F-16 program for Japan. So we dont plan to rename it.
Currently its intended to represent a closer to production standard F-16.
Regarding the brochure displayed pylons, the developers discussed this point, and decided to leave the missiles on the same pylons as other F-16s.
In reality, the scheme of mounting AIM-7s on the gear doors was abandoned, apparently for some practical and technical reasons. No F-16 ever adopted this. Secondly on a gameplay level, there are technical limitations and also practical considerations when loosing gear doors and the missiles place there.
Currently it's WIP. More details will be available when it's closer to being finalised.
Right now we don't have plans for another F-4S at this time. The US tree already has several Phantom variants and there are many more US aircraft to add. Whilst its not entirely ruled out (never say never), it's not in any plans we have right now.
The F-4F was lowered to 10.7 and no longer sees the top 12.0 jets. Currently it's doing fine at it's new BR with no need for AIM-9L.
Similarly the F-4E/J and British Phantoms suit their current BRs with their current loadouts, as most other aircraft at the same BRs have similar such weponary. We don't plan to include AIM-9Ls in their loadouts this patch, as all of those nations now will have jets with those missiles in their tree. (Germany gets the MIG-29 this patch). But as always, the Devs will continue to monitor their situation.
Currently it's also not planned to upgrade and therefore uptier the F-4E with guided munitions of that nature this patch.
Not planned. The Challenger 2E is in its correct line (the Challenger one).
The photo of the aircraft in a museum does not meet the requirements to pass the report and is not relevant to the report. If you wish to readjust your evidence / images, please feel free. But currently it does not meet the criteria to be passed. Manuals were not requested, but a photo of an aircraft in a museum with a set of weaponry mounted does not showcase the issue.
There are no jets Japan used with capabilities fitting of the current generation of jets. The options that remain are planned, but much later and are too far advanced currently. Right now there are no plans to hide it, as the aircraft has not even been introduced yet.
Not a bug. Missiles are a balancing decision, decided by the developers. In service use is not required.
It was possible to use the missile on the aircraft platform and was done so on other MiG-29s. Therefor it is open for consideration.
