The Elder Scrolls Online in Spanish!

We are thrilled to announce that The Elder Scrolls Online will go live with Spanish text translations as part of the Update 34 base-game patch, launching in tandem with the High Isle Chapter on June 6 for PC/Mac and Stadia* and June 21 for Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

Just curious; will this be focusing on what's usually considered Latin American Spanish, or closer to Castilian?

Spanish translations will be in Castilian.

Why are they starting maintenance on the website a half-hour before the big stream?

ESO Website for maintenance – January 27, 2:30PM EST (19:30 UTC) – 3:30PM EST (20:30 UTC)

I usually go to the article 5 minutes before and link from the article to get to twitch. I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this. With website maintenance happening a half hour before the stream, I will need to link before maintenance, but many might not realize that the website will be unavailable for them to do this after 2:30 EST.

This year, the page you need to visit to link your ESO and Twitch accounts shouldn't be affected by the general website maintenance, so you can still visit account.elderscrollsonline.com to link.

Hey all, thanks so much for taking the time to write up so much great feedback here, and apologies it took a while to reply (something something about Global Reveal prep...). This whole thing started on my personal Twitter account as it was originally intended to be a broad discussion about communication in general within the games industry, but eventually morphed into a conversation about ESO specifically. Which is fine. But just wanted to clear up why this started on Twitter.

We've had some initial conversations amongst our team to discuss ways to improve communication across the board and some different things we could try. While it's still a bit too early to get into details here, we are doing our best to figure out how to get more information on both the forums and website rather than limiting much of it to social media and/or livestreams. While these avenues are great for some things, we recognize it's not always ideal. Information should be readily available without ha... Read more

First off, thanks to everyone for participating in all the Battlegrounds queue tests over the past few months, including the most recent addition of Deathmatch-only queues over winter break. We were able to gather a lot of data from these tests regarding Battlegrounds participation and ultimately found it did not significantly affect the participation and population, and also took into account the feedback received about the majority of Battleground games being Deathmatch. We did see the suggestions for adding additional queue options and considered those as well, but doing so would splinter the Battlegrounds population too much and would lead to much longer queue times; we want to ensure the healthiest population and player experience. As such, we are making the call to remove the Deathmatch-only queue option.

Starting in Update 33, the default option for Battleground queues will be “Solo Random” and the dropdown selection will have “Group Random”. Remember, the group queue... Read more

Hi everyone!

We wanted to give you a heads up that we'll be taking the PTS down for maintenance this Friday, November 19 at 9am EST to apply the fix for losing item set or stat bonuses after weapon swapping. Please note while we will not be doing a new character copy, all Champion Points will be reset during this maintenance regardless if you are using a copied or templated character. Additionally, the patch number will remain at v7.2.4 and we will not be updating the PTS to the current Live patch; only the fix mentioned will be included.

We anticipate maintenance being complete by 3pm EST. Thanks for your patience!

Yes, this fix will be included with tomorrow's console patch.

So this is not fixed, and has made its way to console. I just tried a random normal (Frostvault) and I got pieces I've already collected from each boss. PS5 NA.

What happened?

This sounds like a separate issue from the one being discussed originally. There are still a couple open issues with item set curation that we're working on fixing, and we'll make sure this case is included.
