Since we aren't seeing widespread reports at the moment, I suspect that it's an issue with your local files or some account setting possibly.

The suggestions you're seeing in other threads are probably still relevant. Start by verifying your game files on Steam. Reboot your computer. Reboot it again just to be sure. Check video card drivers. Check memory isn't overflowing. Check you can log into the forums with a private browser or a different browser because it goes off the same auth system.

Just fyi, drops don't work like they do in D2. It's not like a base type drops and then decides if it wants to upgrade to a unique. Instead, it first rolls rarity, then if it is a unique, it picks which unique to drop.

This means that the base item has no impact on finding the unique version.

It's seasons. Current characters are going to non-ladder (legacy). New characters can be ether that or ladder (cycle).

Please use the search function to check for existing topics of the same title. I'm going to delete this for being the I don't know how many duplicate topic of this question.

But normally you would have been right.

You can figure it out by looking at your character sheet and looking at your armor damage reduction for hits. Then apply the percentage of that value from your stats to dots.

So for example, if your armor would reduce the incoming damage by 30% and you have 10% armor applied to dots, then you're armor would reduce incoming dot damage by 3% because that's 10% of 30%.

They have a stat which applies a percentage of armor to dots. They are asking how that stat works.

GW1 was what got me into MMOs. Loved GW2 but I fell off after about 6 months. GW1 has been a huge influence for me on the design of LE.

So, with the steam push, is this deck verified yet?

Nothing changed on our end to cause this to happen.

We have not started work on Steam Deck at all. We haven't even discussed if we want to start working on Steam Deck deck support. We will be looking for platforms to start expanding into once we are comfortably past 1.0.

Talk about faulty logic. Yes, each of those games have their own issues. But, they all just magically somehow got the same thing right? Please spare me, teleporting to towns has been a thing for almost as long as the ARPG genre itself. You're trying to turn a simple game mechanism into this super complicated issue, one that every single other game has been able to get working just fine reminder, instead of owning up to the fact the LE just screwed it up. And because of their bs coding players can't do something as simple as teleporting to a town without paying for it with bad gameplay.

Are you interested in a real conversation about this?

Lmao 🤣😂🤣. Harder than it sounds??? That's hilarious considering Path of Exile, Diablo, Grim Dawn, hell, even Torchlight could figure it out. Players have been able to teleport back to town to vendor or do whatever without this issue for decades pretty much in ARPGs. It's an issue that I've only ever experienced in Last Epoch so don't try to BS around it.

Even if we had all of the source code for each of those games to see exactly how they did it, we still probably wouldn't be too much closer to having a solution. Each system works in concert with the others and what works in one game might not work in another due to the adjacent systems.

Each of the games you listed have specific issues that only exist in those games. But because each of those other games does those things right, all of those things must be easy to solve right? See how that logic falls apart in the general case? Please do not presume to know the inner workings of our game and development process.

You don't need to believe me but I will fight faulty logic.

Yes, it's really unfortunate that it happens and we are working to fix it but this isn't some simple task that we're just too lazy to bother with or something.

On kbd + mouse, it's shift +right click. Controller should have a version of this. Look at the store panel you currently have open, it should say at the bottom.

Do you mean because you'd want health regen over one of those stats the boots have now?

I almost never give "hard no's" to suggestions but...

No.

I'll leave the analysis and discussion for other players. Does look like fun though.

I just wanted to let you know about the character importer and builder tools on www.lastepochtools.com

You can import your characters directly and people can view it in an in game like environment with tooltips and all your gear and stuff.

It also has a bot on this sub that will automatically summarize the build in a comment reply.

Or was this known beforehand but you did not want to delay a patch because of it? Are those Linux specific bugs something you are fixing for 1.0 (or maybe have fixed already internally) or is this something for after release? Love the game (>3k hours) and >95% of those on Linux native if you are looking for a tester... (also created the workarounds for the purple character select screen and flashing white circles). Thank you.

I'm not actually sure what the Linux testing pipeline looks like. I just asked to find out. I just assume that it gets checked. No idea how much.

The easiest way to tell is just to take it and see what happens. Given the minimum skill level, at late game you can just grab them and respec and grab a different set on repeat to test.

Almost always, one effect has property and will just override the other node. Usually the more extreme or farther out from the center node will have priority. Most of the time the alt tooltips for each will actually say which has priority.

If a unique item has a conflict with a node, the item has priority. See the abacus wand with regards to runebolt ordering.

I will champion any company that helps support the Linux gaming eco-system (been playing on Linux going back to Unreal Tournament 1999 days).

I've put in a good number of hours across various LE builds, and overall very happy with the experience. The only glaring oddity I was wondering about was if there is any issue tracked to address the long standing 'invisible/purple ghost' characters at the character selection screen?

Thanks for your time.

Every issue you've seen reported here or on our discord or forums has probably also been submitted directly at least a dozen times and we have an issue tracked for it. We have a lot of issues tracked. A lot.

This one is not an exception and is tracked.

Im somewhat emotionally invested with the launch as im very involved in the communities.

If it makes you feel any better, it's just a texture that got dropped in the build process and because we don't test on Steam Deck, it didn't get seen.
