In terms of this one, Judd gave the example of your "ooh spicy" clip as a filter option, was I just misinterpreting this?

Lots of us would really like to add it but there are some issues with it that unfortunately land it in the not currently planning category.

Edit: and thank you for adding the * links to the comment.

Thank you for compiling this list, it's really helpful for people looking to get the updates and not having 5 hours to watch it all.

We sometimes get things not quite right when doing it live so we do have a couple little corrections and expansions that I'd like to add on if possible.

Hired company called Buddha Jones to make 1.0 release trailer for game; working on CGI cutscenes, staffing marketing, social marketing etc.

Just a slight correction here, needs to be 2.5D cutscenes and potential CGI teaser trailer.

No plans for cosmetic wings, but probably will show up in the far future but subdued

We don't want to emphasize wings as much as other options for the back slot but do plan to have some wing or wing link options.

Do want custom sounds for filter (contradicts previous answers on dev stream?)

We're not curren...

You might struggle with it a bit. It's hard to say. We do have tons of optimization coming down the pipe for next patch so if you wait, you might have a better initial experience. Steam will also let you refund within a few hours if it's really not working well.

Hi! Thank you very much! I'm glad you are having fun :)

Not very often. You can see a pattern of summer and winter sales every year but not much in between. I don't know when the next sale will be or for how much but it's usually 20% when they do happen.

Are builds really just that different of an experience in this game and I just chose correct? I don’t mean to marginalize your experience at all… just really trying to understand as mine has been completely different.

Agree on the jumping stuff being immortal though. It’s annoying.

We just got a fix for the jumping immortal problem in for next patch. It was a work around for another problem but we managed to solve that one.

Not OP but I think the last one was the replacement item that they found which caused them to say goodbye to the old one.

The controller support isn't the only required piece to move to consoles, although we do consider it to be a mandatory feature for both 1.0 PC launch and our eventual console port.

We really just need to get to launch as soon as we can and attempting to do a simultaneous console release would delay our PC launch.

I probably should have been more obvious that I was making a joke.

We don't really have that mechanic so since the question was about another game, I just pretended to answer it as though it was about Epoch.

It runs, but it is not optimized in any way... he also said, he could imagine that they will support linux officially, but they focus on mp at the moment...

Just to be clear, what I said was that while we do support Linux, we don't support the Steam Deck. The reason that it mostly runs on the Steam Deck is because we support Linux and have partial controller support.

My best guess would be, based on your ailment comment, that it's accounting for Time Rot DoT with the Void Penetration, rather than the hit of the weapon itself.

Oh it has a particularly difficult time with Warpath and dots created by Warpath. The Void Penetration is effectively a 40% more damage modifier for any void damage and if you have Time Rot, that can spike the damage of that dot really high. While we do have some updates for that coming down the pipe, for now you'll just have to hit a dummy to test it out.

The stat "increased companion critical strike chance" isn't displayed anywhere. The node specifically grants companion critical strike chance and not minion critical strike chance. The stat "increased minion critical strike chance" is listed but doesn't go up when you take the node because as you said in one of your comments, all companions are minions but not all minions are companions.

I have double checked and it does grant the crit chance to companions as the node states.

If you'd like more information on companions and minions, you can press G in game to open the game guide.

Edit: and I just realized that you might be actually referring to the fact that the increased companion critical strike chance isn't listed in the lower section of the node tooltip. I don't think this is the case but if it is, the tooltips are manually created so they could be wrong while the effect is still right. The lower sections are designed as a short hand quick reference of w...

Also just to clarify, the Sword shows a higher DPS compared to the Mace, so even with the overvalued Poison chance, the Mace is still shown as subpar.

Yea, I'm not sure why those specific items are different. I'm not sure which skill you're looking at and what the other stats on the sword are.

It is vastly overestimating the value of ailments. While poison chance might seem irrelevant, that's probably what is causing the numbers to spike. We have adjusted the formula and will continue to do so. It's a tricky thing to get right as each skill works so differently based on what nodes you have.

Just wanted to say thanks for making a great game. I’m excited to continue seeing where it goes. I’m about to hit my first level 100 character (third over all) and here’s to many more!

It's always such a fine line. I am definitely more professional when I've got an EHG tag, on an official platform and my real name on the account though.

Wow, weirdly playable?

Here is the missing piece of information that will be the "ohhhh" moment.

XP gains are capped at +5 levels. A level 86 character in a level 100 zone gains XP as though it was a level 91 zone.

For fastest leveling, pick the highest level zone that you can clear quickly up to 5 levels above your character level.

I can help with question 1 that seems to be stumping people.

Regardless of where you buy, website or Steam, you get the exact same stuff. If you buy it on Steam, you get all the extras that come in the website pack (and if you really want our inferior launcher, you can use that too). If you buy it on the website, you are prompted to connect a Steam account and when you do Last Epoch gets added to your inventory on Steam.

The only difference that I'm aware of pertains to reviews. If you buy it on our website, a Steam review doesn't count towards the positive/negative rating on Steam.

Also, I think that there is a bug with GFN at the moment where steam won't sync loot filters so that's a little annoying.
