but that is not the route this game is taking. so be it. we'll wash our hands of it then. there's so many other games to play that are not charging for every bit of content.
While there is no exclusive "PVP" mode, there is "friendly-fire" in Icarus currently.
We have more specs coming in from NVIDIA once they have completed their testing.
However, Icarus *is* a graphically beautiful game which does require a decent graphics card, before loss of quality ensues.
If you're testing Icarus during our beta weekends, definitely let us know what card you are using, and give us your feedback!
Hi Medium Gap,
Dean was unwell yesterday. As for the snow - our allocated time for these streams are 1 hour, it takes a while to prepare to head over that way and ensure we can survive there. We do want to show more of the snow biome, and perhaps a small portion of the desert, and will in time, but we do want to be mindful that folks wish to experience some of the game for themselves as well.
We are about to head into a beta later this month, so our community can help us with testing, ensuring that any bugs or stability issues are reported, allowing us to get the game ready for launch come November.
Thanks for your feedback on the streams. We know there is a demand to show *more more more* but it's good to keep in mind that not many other indie studio's show or share as much as we have in this streaming format, it isn't well navigated ground and we are doing our best with what we've got :D

- Bad choice in wording of the deluxe vs supporter for their premium offering. Hemming and hawing about changing it despite admitting it was poorly done.
- Claiming a full release when it's clearly still an early access game with limited content and full of bugs (note on the latter: due to the last minute delay they may fix this but so far they appear to be at minimum months away from a real release with full content/systems).
- Either intentionally or through negligence cultivating a rather toxic community spirit resembling that of Rust or 7DTD. Git gud or bugger off type attitude.
- Use of a fairly manipulative game mechanic (intentionally or not) that serves no in game purpose and is tacked on to manipulate the player into a sense of urgency to keep playing.
- The timer itself is not actually related to game time.
- The timer counts down in real time while no player is active.

Huhlig you were banned from the Discord for your behaviour, and I am not surprised that you are in these forums posting more negativity.
People aren't disappearing from the discord just outright, but you did because we banned you and it was justified. We have processes in place to ensure our community is not a toxic environment. And if someone oversteps, we don't need to warn, we can just ban.
