I would like to ask you a few questions first;
Why do you think the fences are so clear, loud, and in the opponent's face in the first place; and because it is so loud, how does this allow designers to tune Wattson?
How would it feel to play against Wattson's fences if it had 'effectively' zero visual tell that it was there in the first place? Would there be an outrage stepping into a highly impactful and invisible trap?
I don't suppose you want me to tell you why that would be a bad idea?
I have clips of winning games while everyone being knocked in end game and clips losing kp and placement cause of it... Sometimes in end game it is better to play for second and extra kp than to play for the win cause sometimes winning is not possible, but if the team you will push has a gold knock your whole plan falls apart cause the other team will third party... I know casuals love gold knock cause of clutch situations but in high rank it is not healthy and it was removed from comp for these exact reasons
The way its written is kind of hard to understand. If I understand you correctly, you have two points:
1) Competitive Games has it disabled.
2) Your first point is kind of unclear... I think you meant that If you push a team that has a gold shield, you are going to get 3rd partied? Please Clarify.
Because you are talking about gold knockdown, please remove it from rank it's game breaking

This has nothing to do with the clip, but you think gold knockdown shield could get some improvement too? IMO the time you need to get up it's kinda long, also it's making lot of noise while you're doing it so it's pretty easy for someone to notice and take all the time he wants to search where the sound is coming from and kill you.
Unless you have an Octane Pad right where they downed you and nobody notices you, most of the times you're going to get killed without the opportunity of using it
imo, Live balance might be agree with me on this, I think the intention of the current tuning is that Gold Knockdown is not a get out of free jail card. The point IS that is takes a long time and make noises. The important thing that people don't do most of the time, which would greatly empower the gold shield, is playing around your revive and protecting you (like the new lifeline revive).
Would love to know why that's happening too... Anyone got any leads on this? Any idea on how to trigger the issue?

Probably that's because downed player has a short animation of falling down + they need some time to understand they're knocked so they could start holding the shield button. Fair enough to make the player who won the fight wait a little.

I'd say to keep it the way it is so people can't immediately thirst kills. Removing it would essentially make the down-shields useless.
I never said I think it should be removed. Just think that there is room for improvement with better player feedback :)
On knockdown there is a 1.5 seconds damage immunity. I could tell it's that mechanic because the timing of when his shield came up is same as when you could start damaging him, but I'll put in a _low_ priority ticket for that mechanic to have better feedback.

We changed some stuff on our end, we are seeing improvements there.
We have a client hotfix that is going to give us some logging to understand why you are disconnecting on your end, which will help us isolate the issue better.
So i thought this colour change in the Non shield damage was due to the genesis update and previous seasons damage indicator. I thought it would disappear with the Thrill seeker event so i wasn't that bothered.
The problem isn't major but it does cause a major problem in game when someone is using a gold shield. I am colourblind and so is my brother, since no one else has complained about this we assumed it was a distinct different colour to gold like green. We cannot see the difference in these colours or find it super hard to distinguish. If it was possible to change this to the original colour it would make it 110% easier to see the difference.I understand this isn't a major issue but it does make playing the game significantly harder for me when i come against someone with a gold shield.

I personally think this is a major issue, and I think it is safe to say a number of us at Respawn also feels. So as the messenger, I have good news. ;)
We wanted to get this hotfix out earlier, but sadly, things were a bit hectic last week and we had to delay a whole bunch of stuff, and this fix was part of the postponed. Since it's a client 'hotfix' testing are way more rigorous and will take a few days. Assuming nothing goes wrong, you should see an update within the one calendar week.
Sit tight, a fix is coming.

I also hope you recognize the difference between racist language and other language such as simple name-calling. Racist language targets a specific race of people who are systematically oppressed, like with the N-word. White people have personal hardships, but are not systematically oppressed based on their race. "Whitey" specifies race but does not have the roots of systematic and social malice based in present and historical wrongs.
OP deserves NO ban. The player who called them the N-word definitely needs one.

I have no influence over what the ban policies are, nor do I have access to the ban hammer. Nor do I want it.
All I am saying is that the customer support rep is the best course of action for challenging a ban, and secondly, racial slurs have no place in Apex. Both of which can be escalated with a customer support rep.
