Has the ranked team ever considered a kill/assist limit staggered based on the ranks? For instance, I think gold should have a higher cap for kill/assist points than diamond. Will allow higher skilled players a chance to rank up quicker, while hopefully not affecting lesser skilled players in those lobbies. Not everyone has time to play every day to rank up to diamond for instance but still may have been playing FPS for years and mowing through lobbies.

I just started like 4 months ago, it takes time to gasp the complexity of the tools and the game. So you can't expect the new designer to swing a sledge hammer at an established game as their first project. :P

Hey all,

I got a number of updates here; This is a great feedback, this is an update we can do pretty quickly... Unlike a client update which is required to fix the animated banner problem.

Regarding the animated banner bug; We though we fixed the root of the issue in 10.1.1 when we last released a client patch. We saw the crash telemetry and social media report die down, so we though we were in the clear. Unfortunately, we didn't fix it completely.

We apologize this took so long, this bug along with a variety of other reasons took us a long time to identify the actual root cause. We had to go pretty deep into the code to generate a full 100% reproduction of the issue.

However, I have good news. We ARE confident that we have a fix for 10.1.2, which is currently in testing, and SHOULD be releasing sometime next week.

Since you are suggesting changes to the drone, are we talking about the passive, or just adding anti-scan to the character in general? If we are talking about the latter (just adding anti-scan), we are starting a whole new discussion and the considerations and variables we need to discuss

That said, I feel there is a need for a hard counter to exist against combat intel legends as such. There are very few meta abilities in the game that have zero hard counter. AOE damage dealers, defensive zoning tools, personal mobility abilities, visual obfuscation tools, they all have a counter. Combat intel legends don't have that.
 
Abilities with no counter are always borderline OP. Caustic Nox Grenade is a damage tick away from being OP. Crypto's drone needs to be loud, big and weak to create a window-to-counter against EMP. You would be correct on that assumption; We still need to consider if that would be degenerate in some way; and that the gameplay involving 'creating a fog of war' isn't just 'smokes' gameplay. But conceptually, there isn't a reason to say a character can't have a specific niche, in fact, I think it's a good thing. Creates a strong character identity.
