Noted, we’ll look into things! Thank you again and apologies for the inconvenience.

Gotcha, thanks for the update. I’ll relay this information to our Chief Financial Officer and we’ll investigate to see if there’s a pricing threshold issue.

Hi @Royal_Blue,

Sorry to hear this.

Did you recently enable the Steam overlay before trying to purchase these? As this error can still persist for a short time after enabling the overlay.

Also, in case this was a temporary issue, can you please check again and let me know if you still have the same error when trying to purchase these cosmetics now?

Please let me know, and apologies for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the update! Sorry to hear this still hasn’t helped :frowning: it’s a very unusal issue!

Unfortunately, our launcher-developer doesn’t have any further suggestions at this time. Though I’ll keep in contact with them and let you know if they find anything else we can try.

Your friend could try restoring his PC, though I appreciate this is quite a length to go to! If they do try this, please let me know this goes!

Hi @Yellowraven,

Can you please try deleting your save_data.old file from the Fatshark AppData directory?

  1. Press Windows + R
  2. Enter ‘%appdata%’ and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to Fatshark > Vermintide 2
  4. Delete the ‘save_data.old’ file
  5. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal

Please let me know how this goes.

Apologies for the wait @Valorean, I haven’t received a response yet, though I have nudged the development team a further time. Hopefully there may be something else we can try :crossed_fingers: I’ll be in touch as soon as I hear back.

In the meantime, if your friend is able to try reinstalling Steam, and then a clean reinstallation of Vermintide 2 this may well be worth trying - and if this fails it’s another potential solution we can then rule out.

Hi @Max93,

I’ve queried this challenge internally after the rework in the past, and have been told by our Gameplay Developers that this challenge is still possible as the wall still does damage.

If your your friend believes that there is an issue, could you please provide any further details/specifics of what they have tried doing in-game to complete this challenge, so I can provide feedback to the development team. Thanks!

Hi @d2bala,

Sorry to hear this.

There aren’t any well known offendors that I can mention unfortunately, it tends to vary a lot!

What I can suggest though is to try the following -

Perform a ‘Selective Startup’, which can help to identify if a background application is the cause:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC
  6. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal

If the issue no longer persists after having performed the Selective Startup, you will need to re-enable each of your usual background applications one-by-one until it reoccurs, to determine which is the culprit.

Thanks! Logs show a clear issue with corrupted game data. I can recommend running through our data corruption solutions here:

Ah m’bad! Looking at the console log I can’t see any crash (though there is a disconnection that occurred). The console log date doesn’t match that of the crash dump (can tell by the filenames).

Do you have any other console logs you could upload please?

Comment

Hi @Zoli,

Could you please provide a crash report or a relevant console log so we can take a look?

Hi @HardLuck017,

I can take a look at this for you. Can you please provide me with your Steam profile URL (e.g. https://steamcommunity.com/id/FatsharkLev/) so I can find your account in the backend?
(or your Gamertag/PSN ID)

Thanks!

Hi @Max93,

As you can launch correctly in Modded realm this indicates the issue is related to Easy Anti-Cheat, as this service only applies to Official realm.

In your logs, I can see the following Exit Code 0xC0000005, which usually points towards a conflict with Anti-Virus/Firewall.

I recommend adding appropriate exceptions for both Vermintide 2 and Easy Anti-Cheat. Please see:

Ah okay :frowning: thanks for the update again. I’ll let the developer know and wait to see if there’s any further things they can suggest or we can try.

@JarJarBlunts, thank you for the update! I’m glad to hear that you’ve found a solution/workaround. I’ve made a note of this and will discuss it with the development team.

Hi @hesperus001,

Sorry about that. I’ve now manually unlocked the Amulet of Ashur for you. You should see this when you next restart Vermintide 2
