I’ve been informed this is caused by the ‘Exotic Background’ option in the ‘UI Improvements’ mod.

This is an issue on our end with Twitch Mode. We’re working on it - apologies for the inconvenience.

Heyyy! so yep, I don’t have any interesting telemetry to share right now, but I’m sure we can down the line

Could somebody please provide me with a GUID?

Comment

Thank you for reporting - we’ve resolved this internally, to be patched soon.

This is a stability update, fixes a couple of the highest priority crashes based on crash data. We note hotfixes in the last patch notes OP generally.

We need to improve how this is worded. For sure.

Comment

That’s super! Thank you @DezZzO.

Comment

That’s unfortunate. Could you try a Selective Startup to see if anything could be interfering with Steam or Vermintide 2?:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC
  6. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal, and see if the issue(s) persist
Comment

Speeds all look nice, no problems there.

I did query your console logs with one of our Network Engineers, who has since instructed me to escalate this to our Backend Engineer.

He’s very busy at the moment, so there may be a delay in response. Apologies for the inconvenience, and I hope to have an update for you soon.

Comment

Nope.

Comment

Does he ever witness a Backend Rejected the Challenge Response error?

Comment

I’m pleased to hear that!

Comment

Thank you. This is indeed a known crash - we’re working on it!

Could he please remove the ‘Certificates’ directory located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\EasyAntiCheat
Then, proceed to repair Easy Anti-Cheat using the EasyAntiCheat_Setup executable located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat

This appears to be a mod-related crash.

Edit: I was wrong.
