She could check her launcher log, it might have a clue (depends on various things). It's found in

C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2

near the bottom of the log is an Exit Code log item.

10:24:44.917 [Launcher] [Launch Game] [Process Exit] Exit code: 0x00000000

for example.

Unfortunately Terry no longer works with us. We can't go in to too much detail for obvious reasons but lets just say he was in to more than just trading cards.

We had an issue checking whether you owned the game or not so we removed the 750 shillings you get for owning the game and then re-added them once you got into the keep. This was fixed in the latest patch. If you're still experiencing issues please contact us at https://support.fatshark.se/ and we'll try to fix it for you

Ah interesting cheers.

I should say this is by no means a dig at the game- this pareto like distribution is common to all games, it's the reason I have little to none hours on the majority of my steam games, and a ton of hours on just a few (V2 included).

For example, in perhaps the most similar game L4D2 less than 40% of purchasers have completed the first campaign on any difficulty. Several of the other campaigns stand at less than 20% of purchasers. Any steam game or personal steam library shows the same pattern.

Yes absolutely! No shade felt from our end! It's just another contributing factor.

I've also not played 55% of the games I own on Steam (to my absolute horror, but some of them are just not my cup of tea and came in bundles).

That data (2.9% players have all chars 30+) is certainly thrown out by the fast turnover in lower levels and large number of people who buy the game and barely play it, or play it a bit and quit. As a result, active playerbase will differ significantly from the actual full number of people who own the game. I mean v2 has sold 2m+ copies but only has 3-4k players active at a time.

For example, out of everyone that bought the game, 20% didn't even complete the prologue, only half have completed 'Act 1' and 75% have not beaten skittergate on veteran difficulty. It's a safe bet that most of the 75% are inactive.

Not that it makes much off a difference but there was a bug for a while where players didn't get the prologue achievement - and it wasn't uncommon a bug either. Some veterans still don't have it (they would get it if they ran the prologue again since the bug was fixed however).

Any news that this bundle will be available.on Xbox or PS?

I've checked and there is no bundle.

Sadly the bundle only works on Steam this time around.

Thank you fatshark for creating 2 games that literally changed my life.

When I was in a bad place for a couple of years, your game (predominantly vt2) was my only escape. It allowed me to find people to talk to, make friends, have so many crazy fun times, laughing our asses off and sharing all our stories whether they were personal or game-related. Your game has also been such a creative outlet for me, inspiring all my weird memes, videos and fan art.

I have had both an unhealthy and a healthy relationship with VT2. The addiction is real! XD

But ultimately your game allowed me to build an amazing friendship over the last 2 & 1/2 years with one particular person, and then out of the blue, something we never expected happened.. we fell for each other.

So it’s 3 weeks until he comes to meet me in person for the first time, and we are crazy excited.

I couldn’t be more grateful to you Fatshark for this game that changed my entire life. :) Tha...

You mean the ~3,000 playerbase aren't going to individually kill 185,000 rats each?

Concurrent players on one platform is a very different thing to daily active users across them all :'D

I think I totally nailed it this time. I always have a big focus on light and lighting in my shots, but this might take the cake for one of my favorite examples of light and shadow. Originally, I had kerillian in the light and the minotaur in the shadow of the temple, but I changed my mind. I thought it would be more appropriate for the minotaur to be in the light, because he is trespassing on elven temple ground. Kerillian is alone, and returns to a place where she is no longer welcome, hence her being in shadow. I opted with the white outfit in order to match the temple stone, and to have her fit into her environment more.

I fiddled around with a couple action shots, but with the way photomode plays an animation for 1/3 of a second until it pauses after you hit the button, and the fact that the photomode menu triggers automatic blocking now hard coded into the game (rip chat block), all light attack animations get cancelled. The slower heavy attack animations dont get ful...

Sorry to hear that automatic blocking has been interfering with the photoshoots. Here's a workaround:

  1. Subscribe and activate a mod that allows executing Lua in-game, like prop joe's Execute Lua Ingame.
  2. Execute the following code:

    mod:hook_origin(PlayerInputExtension, "is_input_blocked", NOP)

  3. Automatic blocking will be disabled for the rest of the session. It will be re-enabled if you restart the game.

PD: Great shot, love it! Looking forward to your next pics. <3

We love the idea of using fan works for in-game presentation!

But there's a fair few hoops to go through to make it work, and certain rights would be forfeit by the artists... which would be sad. So we haven't pursued it much further. As cool as it would be, the erosion of ownership just puts us off making it a reality.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS this is the best contest in all of the contests ever.

On PC we divided it into only the character and a another dlc for the cosmetics. That wasn't possible on consoles so we combined them and lowered the price
