I appreciate the excitement and totally get it, but right now, I want to just set expectations and not set them too high. As you mentioned, players can feel different ways about different things, so I don’t want to start potential fires where they can be avoided. But speaking of fires, we are looking at Pyro, as well as other career spots. They likely won’t all get addressed, but we’re trying to hit the larger ones.

Regarding OP, our last “big balance beta” was around three years ago. Which is a long time, to be fair, I know. We’ve had minor balance passes here and there on a per weapon/career/ability/ad hoc basis. There will not be a balance patch arriving with Necromancer. We would like to do one for Q4 for this year (still nailing down feasibility; will make an attempt to keep everyone updated if this changes), and we’re making a hit list of what we’d like to address, but I’m not sure of the extent of this ...

I can answer maybe two of these, the rest I’d need to ask our lore masters. :slight_smile:

  • Has Bardin been dyeing his hair? I was surprised by the grey beard when OE released. From my understanding, it’s stress. Since the careers aren’t something they switch between day-to-day canonically, he’s not suddenly grey one day and auburn the next (or is he?). Or maybe he’s just been eating the paintbrush pigment.
  • Is the finale of Righteous Stand divine intervention by Sigmar? I believe it is, yes.

We need more information since we can't reproduce it in house. It might be a problem with the drivers for certain mice or a problem with the dashboard version. We've tried several mice and keyboards and they all seem to work just fine for us



The Ubersreik Five have been through some stuff haven’t they? Confounding the evil machinations of the Skaven at Ubersreik (even if they couldn’t quite save the city in the process). Then thwarting the Pactsworn alliance in the depths of Helmgart (again, a bit late to actually save the city, but who’s quibbling?). Little did they know that these weren’t isolated invasions of the kind the Empire has endured since its founding, but harbingers of a new and terrible age: the End Times, when the laughter of the dark gods finally swallows the world.

The Five have known for a while that something isn’t right, of course. Tzeentch, the Chaos God of Change, has been dabbling away with the causality of the mortal world, tangling fate and destiny into new designs for no other reason than because he can.

Hmm, was Steam overlay already enabled or did you enable this while in-game? Sometimes after enabling the overlay it can take a few minutes before transactions can successfully be made.

It’s also possible it may have been erroring due to a temporary connectivity issue.

Can you please try again now and let me know if the error perists?

Alrighty, thank you guys for letting us know. If you restart Vermintide, this time it SHOULD work again.

We're currently working on a more permanent fix that will require a patch, but until then we have to manually fix it every time it breaks with a temporary bandaid of sorts.

Hopefully we have the client update ready before it breaks again, but if not, please let us know as soon as it goes down!

Hey all!

After combing through the code and some testing we’ve still been unsuccessful in reproducing this bug :sweat:

That said, we’ll be implementing some prints in our console logs with the Necromancer release that should hopefully help us track this down.

Post-Necromancer update, when anyone runs into this issue if you can please provide your console logs from the culprit sessions it would be much appreciated!

Hello!
Sad tidings today, but as of this moment, Twitch mode is currently unavailable in game. We have tracked down the issue after an investigation and are working towards a fix, but we wanted to communicate that we are aware of this issue and are on the case. Thank you for your patience and we hope to have things working as expected in short order, more updates to come as they are made available.

Correct. The solve has been more complicated to put out than expected, so we're still working on solves. Hoping to have a status update from the team on Monday.

As far as I know it’s one of those “it’s not a bug, it’s a feature!” things. I can bring it up to the team, but I suspect it might require a pretty hefty overhaul for how our enemy AI paths and how the slot system functions.

Weapon breakdown per career DLC:

  • Grail Knight: Bret. Longsword & Bret. Sword and Shield
  • Outcast Engineer: Masterwork Pistol & Coghammer
  • Sister of the Thorn: Briar Javelin & Deepwood Staff
  • Warrior Priest: Holy Great Hammer, Flail & Shield, Paired Skull-Splitters, Skull-Splitter and Blessed Tome, Skull-Splitter & Shield, Skull-Splitter Hammer*
  • Necromancer: Ensorcelled Reaper & Soulstealer Staff

Weapons like Moonfire Bow, etc. are part of the Forgotten Relics pack, Winds of Magic, or Back to Ubersreik and not part of career DLC.

*Outlier - Additional weapons were created due to lore reasons that locked Warrior Priest out of Victor’s other shared career weapons.
