One of the DLLs required to launch Vermintide 2 is missing.

Firstly, please run the Windows System File Checker by:

  1. Launch the ‘Command Prompt’ as an administrator
  2. If prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, enter the password or select ‘Allow’
  3. Enter the command:
    sfc /scannow
  4. Restart your PC once complete

Try launching Vermintide 2 afterwards.

If the problem persists, please launch the ‘vermintide2’ executable located within the binaries, here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries

On doing so, an error should be displayed referencing which particular DLL is missing. Please let us know what this error says.

Heads up to anybody with an AMD card, I’ve been informed that driver 19.3 is causing performance problems.

If restarting Steam doesn't work, you can try:
- Rebooting your PC
- Clearing Steam's download cache
- Changing Steam's download region

Consistent corruption errors can be caused by anything from a virus to mismatched RAM speeds - sometimes simply verifying integrity isn’t enough. There’s a post on it here...

There’s some confusion here. Yes, the crash reports are sent to the developers.

Support Tickets are submitted at http://fatsharkgames.com/support, where we can chat about what you’re experiencing and attempt to debug it.

Do you? I can’t seem to locate any of them.

What solutions did we recommend, and what have you already tried? I’d like to help you, and escalate the case to Easy Anti-Cheat if needed. The likely culprit for your untrusted errors is data corruption.

I couldn’t help but notice your laptop is quite below the minimum requirements for Vermintide 2. Unfortunately, this is likely to produce some undesirable behaviours such as poor performance and crashes.

The minimum requirements for Vermintide 2 are:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7, 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1) or 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2300 @ 2.80 GHz / AMD FX-4350 @ 4.2 GHz
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5870
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 65 GB available space

Unfortunately it does appear the Free Weekend has ended. I can only suspect it ended early for you (on the 10th) due to some sort of timezone witchery. Sorry about this.

I believe this is mod-related, although it’s not clear which one. I have my suspicions that it could be ‘Third Person Equipment’ but the only real way to determine which mod is problematic would be to perform a process of elimination.

It will be included in the Collector’s Edition at some point.

No problem! I’ve PM’d you.

Sorry, I appreciate my response wasn’t very clear.

The crash upon exit is a known issue.

As for the regular crashes you’ve been experiencing, are these occurring in any one particular map?

We do want to help you! The problem is, we can’t do much with the Windows Event Viewer logs that were received, especially considering they weren’t in English. :frowning:

Vermintide 2 operates in protected memory and would never be able to directly crash your PC, but due to it’s demanding nature it can highlight an instability in a component - subsequently leading to your PC crashing - which I believe is the case here.

Especially considering you experience this not only in Vermintide 2 but in Jump Force too, a hardware problem is likely (but unfortunate) reality. In all honesty, your best bet would be to take your PC to a repair shop. From an online support perspective, it’s very hard to determine what could be the cause without having the PC physically in our hands. I hope you can understand.

The big thing we had planned for March 8th specifically was the original scheduled announcement of Winds of Magic, which was due for reveal on March the 8th, but when PC Gamer wanted to feature it in their March edition with the cover piece we couldn’t turn them down (of course!) so the March 8th plans were brought forward. The anniversary event itself was going to be a cheeky gift to the PC players for their 1 year anniversary with the console updates to follow a little time after.

We’re still working on the console side of things, and our dedicated console team has taken a few unexpected hits recently so the time to completion has, regrettably, been slowed down to a point neither party (you or us) are really happy with. We’re doing all we can with the people we have who are experienced in working with the platforms. It’s not a matter of favouritism at all, we respect all platforms equally, as noted earlier by ...
