Japan's top tier aircraft situation is unique currently. This was the most suitable option.

Germany had other SPAAs possible and a suitable candidate to replace the 341.

The reasoning behind the AJ was outlined and explained both in it's original blog and today's update update.

Our policy on ships has been made clear for a very long time by this point.

Comment

The Yak-141 was a real Aircraft that flew which many people have been looking forward too and asking for. Everything is known and documented about it's armaments (that were mounted in tests and for displays, of which other aircraft in game also have) and what was going to be fitted to a production example. Our reasoning was detailed clearly in the blog today.

The 341 was a Panther hull with a wooden, non functional mockup turret, which we also found a more suitable replacement for. We explained our reasoning at the time for it's removal here: https://warthunder.com/en/news/6317-development-changes-and-optimization-in-the-german-tech-tree-en

The production version of the STA-3 is the Type 61. A seperate vehcile.

Comment

If any information can be found to support those vehciles having some form of system like that (even mentions), it's a certainly worthwhile suggestion to be considered.

Comment

Naturally it may seem practical without a proper understanding of what it involves and the scale of it. But it is not in fact practical or realistic to do so. There is also consideration to be made to the many paid soruces across the game where staff / Devs have purchased books, archive scans and more.

There are many reasons why it's not been done. But it's not something that is possible to do simply put.

Comment

As mentioned in the blog, the standard underwing AIM-7 was selected for implementation.

Comment

Given we have over 2000+ vehciles in game, it's not possible or practical to publish, organise and publicize our entire source library for every vehcile in game.

Any properly reported issues will be investigated.

TOR-M1s radar has several modes in game. The default is simply used for the hanger UI.

0*32 deg.

32*64deg

Comment

Indeed, the Devs are also considering the suggestion. Thanks!

Comment

This is simply on the hanger UI. TOR-M1 has several different modes inside the rader settings:

0*32 deg.

32*64deg

You can change the scan level in game.

The War Thunder development team reacts on the hottest topics of discussion of the upcoming Sky Guardians update.

Pantsir-S1 and other SAM vehicles

We noticed the concerns of the players about a possible imbalance due to the introduction of the Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile system into the game and will try to answer some questions about its operational modes details.

The introduction of the Pantsir-S1 was planned due to the fact that the 2S6/2S6M1 Tunguska SPAAG is significantly inferior to the competition in terms of the combination of missile plus radar efficiency and has some of the worst statistics among all top tier SPAAGs in the game.

Some players also believe that instead of introducing Pantsir-S1, it was worth introducing the TOR-M1 or TOR-M2 systems. However, according to ...

A bug where HE shells in some aircraft and anti-aircraft guns caused little damage has been fixed.

Now also in the Steam version on a CPU without SSE4.1 support, but with a 64bit operating system the game will use all available RAM (previously it was limited by ca ~4GB).

The current provided changelog reflects the major changes within the game as part of this Update. Some updates, additions and fixes may not be listed in the provided notes. War Thunder is constantly improving and specific fixes may be implemented without the client being updated.

Same rules as with in game chat, forum etc.

Bottom left corner of the squadron screen - there is a complain button. Please use it to report rule breaking names or/and description.

Game Masters will react.

Thanks!

PS. I removed screenshot with rulebreaking content. We do not allow to publish such things on our media.
