Being too advanced is not about the raw capabilities of an aircraft. Yes Viggen does pack more of a punch than most aircaft in game (don't just compare it to Phantoms), but that's really not the factor here.

It's a complex plane to model FM wise and from a technical standpoint, with many other unique features to take into account, it is more advanced. It has elements we don't yet have in game in any capacity.

In terms of radar then yes. As with most features it generally comes for a group at a time when its most viable.

The British Phantoms are already still performing at the upper edges of the current 10.7s. We dont yet have Pulse Doppler in game yet and are not going to introduce it solely for them right now. Doing so is just going to drive them right to the top and potentially skew balance. Britain doesn't have any more top (as in 10.7+ capable fighters) jets to come for some time. So AIM-9G and pulse Doppler are a the next step for them.

AIM-9G will likely come first. But they historically had AIM-9D and right now, even with that, they are close behind the E and EJ.
